Which toy line would you love to see make a come back? For me it's action fleet, it made me a star wars fans back in the 90's

I loved Action Fleet but never bought a single thing. Why? For years before it I had a near complete Micro Machine Star Wars collection, and now instead of new things they were remaking the stuff I already owned and I couldn't just ask my parents to buy all those things again for me.
I guess it failed to do well since they went back to the original scale for Star Wars Episode 1 just a year or so later.

This is also true, just compare the original micro machines line that we had in the 90s with like 6 figures, and a playset full sculpted/painted details and fun gimmicks. For the sequel trilogy we got 2 figures and the playset is as barebones as it can get.

Id really enjoy a good budget toy line. Like in the 5-9 buck a pop range. Something like the corps! Or even a budget gi joe. Just something half way decent that all kids could get into but i guess aimed more at boys. Idk just something to get kids off the phone and back into the front yard digging holes and making bases like i did growing up.

Opposite direction for me. I feel like the only way we’d get something equivalent to Action Fleet is for an import company to make a line in the style of. For example, Takara doing them in the same size as the Diaclone revival with minifigures articulated similarly and with the magnet gimmick.

So we bump the price to $20 but make things smaller but have more pieces parts? Like action figure play sets? Im not familiar with diaclone but understand it lead to transformers.

I think my parents still have all my old Action Fleet stuff. I know for a fact most of it's beat to hell since I played with them so much. A few years back when TFA was coming out and everyone was back on the SW hype train I got a bunch of the little diecast Black Series Ships hoping they'd recapture the same feeling. They didn't sadly. Closest I've come is buying ships from that tabletop game. Those things are insanely detailed for the price you pay for them. Not really any play value though unless you play the actual game.

my brother and I back in the day (mid-90s) got our mom to type a letter to hasbro of different vehicles with people we thought would be cool to see combined and they wrote a letter back thanking us for being fans; it blew my little 9 year old mind that a toy company sent me a letter.

here we are 20+ years later and i still remember that letter and the A-wing action fleet i carried in my pocket everywhere i went.

A qr code on the packs that opens the issues? Something like he man mini comics, but instead of one issue in each wave each unique figure/play set gets its own 4-6 page issue. It would cost more upfront but lower the overhead in general. Im still stuck on what kids would actually play with, i see the dumb crap like blind boxes doing well but i wouldnt like buying that for my kid. This idea of budget toys that respect the kid, the parent and the parents pocket is something that ive been thinking on alot lately.
