It sells itself as a movie accurate color scheme but fails in that regard but at the same time, it isn't doing anything different enough to sell itself as a unique original color scheme, so even though it still looks good, it just isn't particularly impressive as its own thing. Because of that, I overall prefer the baby blues of the original release. Also, further muddying the waters is that even among different stills and releases from the movie itself, straight gray isn't entirely accurate because it swaps back and forth between using blues and grays or probably the most "accurate" version would be with the really light gray chest+skirts and the blue legs+crotch+planet shell.
But shit, you know what would be wild? If they did a G1 toy accurate version, or even said fuck it and did any of the UT colors with the translucent chest.
