I just got Rhinomon X and made it up to stage 7 right now. I've played a bunch of digimon vidya but this is my first time since grade school since I've had a V-Pet. I might end up getting one of the english 20ths since I love this one so much.
I preordered the purple and red X off of Amazon for someone but it says that it's expected by today but hasn't shipped. Really sucks.

The gist is that Yggdrasil unleashes a virus to genocide 99% of the digital world, but certain digimon develop an antibody.

Alot of the time though it seems its just the official artists going "I redrew this digimon but edgier/rounder"

I'm rocking Megadramon X right now at Area21. I've gotten a few random encounters today that gave me a sweet 1000xp each so I should be able to rank him up to lvl 10 by the end of the day. He's lvl 7 atm. Sucks I won't be able to unlock Dukemon since I don't have my red and black X yet.

I got a few fights yesterday with Damemon randomly who gave 1500 EXP but I haven't seen one today sadly.

Wondering what she'll evolve into next. I didn't look up the options, hell I don't even know what the roster for this device is. All I know is some new X forms as well as old ones are here (I clearly recognized Agumon X and Gabumon X)

By the way, I faced off against this one Digimon in Quest mode that looked like Pinsir from Pokemon. Anyone know which one that is? I found the dot sprite very appealing.

I've been having a blast raising them, it's so much nicer not having more than one mon on a single device. They're also way less needy, so it's feel like you're playing with them more on your own time.

The Lillymon evolved from a Damemon which really surprised me.

I was actually of the opposite opinion, it feels way louder compared to my 20th. In fairness, could be because I don't know how long the battery in that one was around whereas the X's is probably brand new.

I got a whole pile of 20ths when they were $5 and they all have slightly different volumes and even pitches. I think there's just a enough variation in how the speaker is placed in the case (and perhaps the speaker itself) to make a difference. If you wanted to, you could open it up and put some folded up toilet paper on the speaker to dampen it. I've done that before.

Just beat area 10 & 11 with rhinomonX. I really like that the areas get more complex. Anything that makes playing with the digivice more interesting is always a big plus.

Kamen Rider and Ultraman DiM cards still do not make any sense, whatever that person saw before was probably in reference to the individual tamagotchis. Kamen Rider just got a set and Ultraman could just as easily be getting one.

I take it back, >>9185020 reads like Ultraman and Kamen Rider are getting their own Vital Bracelet series, the DiM cards probably won't be interchangeable with the Digimon VB. The Ultraman DiM will just have Ultramen on it, no Digimon.

The Medarot DIM had those because the whole thing spawned from the Omedamon april fools joke. Kamen Rider doesn't have anything like that, at least as of now. I guess they could make some crossover stuff eventually, though I think >>9186061 may be right.
I think it'd be silly if they didn't make cards compatible across devices, but I guess it depends on how different the format is.

No. Theyre just getting DiM sets based on the popular old Riders and Ultras, and shiny new ones, and theyre doing a vital bracelet with new color bands. They arent gonna lock things to one thing like that. It's idiotic.

Their even making a V Digivice from the other image and it wont even be a seperate thing and likely has cross compatability due to having DiMs releasing along side it.

Technically, I'm not sure it is? it's the "Vital Bracelet Series" labeled "Digital Monster." Not the "Vital Bracelet Digital Monster Series."
It is at least half notable that "Digital Monster" is always less pronounced than the VB name itself. Past Digimon V-pets definitely put the Digimon name more front and center. So it's possible they intended to branch out the VB brand elsewhere from the beginning.
The part that is strictly Digimon branded are the DIMs, since those are "Digimon Identified Memory" cards, and this >>9185020 calls the new branded stuff VBMs instead. I think the text on the right even says "Like a DIM card."

The part that makes me doubt that they wouldn't be compatible with the VBDM is that the single cards bundled with the new VBs are also sold separately. But I guess that could also just be so you can use Kuuga with the Ultraman VB and Tiga with the Rider one without buying both. Who knows.

What you're doing is being something called delusional. Bandai has the rights to these things' toys. They're some of Bandais biggest sellers. They're more popular than Digimon could ever even dream to be. They'd bring eyes to Digimon due to how popular they are. Medarot got a crossover with Digimon, something that no one would have ever even CONSIDERED before the original april fools thing. This makes far more sense than that one did. The leaks are also all from reliable sources stating Vital Bracelet (red) with ultraman DiM etc.

Clearly you have some personal issue with this crossover existing or you wouldnt be in denial over it. Do you hate Kamen Rider? Or Ultraman? Do you just dislike crossovers in general? This stance is a weird one to take when we have listings stating what they are.

Nothing about this is "expanding" into that. It's a crossover. A one time thing. They'll release these sets, and that's it. The sets they're doing are of some of the more characters/seasons. They also wouldn't alienate fans with a whole other VB to wear that's only for these specific sets and nothing else ever. That's also work they'd have to put in, when they're already putting work into a new VB based Digivice.

Now just be excited for the cool new shit we're getting. If I'm somehow wrong I'll go suck a bunch of dicks and get aids as an apology.

I've got a question about evolution. I looked at Humulos' site and saw that Beel Starmon X evolves to Diablomon X after 48 hours have passed, level 8~10 and Area 29 cleared.
I like Beel Starmon X and thought maybe I'll delay doing Area 29 to keep it for a while before it evolves. I wanted to know what happens if I don't meet a certain condition, like clearing Area 29 before the 48 hours pass, but clear it at a later time. Will it evolve after I clear it, or will it permanently be unable to evolve if I didn't do it in time?

Similarly with Lord Knightmon X, who requires a special random encounter. What happens if you don't get the encounter with Rafflesimon before the 48 hours pass.

As soon as the the evo time hits it either evolves or starts to slowly die.
You cankeep it alive practically indefinitely, it will get harder as time goes on though.

As for lordknightmon, you can get that encounter with anyone and it permenantly unlocks the evo. You dont need to get the encounter with the digimon you want to evolve into it.

The Z's are such boring pets. I hate how every Digimon has ONE natural evolution, and the rest are Jogress only. I get that Jogress is the main gimmick, but it makes raising a Digimon boring because there's no cooldown on Jogress. All I need to do is raise two Digimon to Adult, and then I can immediately Jogress them both to Ultimate within seconds of them reaching Adult. Meanwhile on the X's you have to actually earn evolutions by doing quest mode and raising your Digimon properly. And don't get me started on the Z's having half their rosters locked if you don't connect all three together.

No but yes. There are third party ones that come in navy blue, grey, ice blue, and light pink though which are bigger than the original bands. There's also a black extended band they sold on p-bandai but that was the only "replacement" they did.

Alternatively, there's going to be a red one soon, and a nice shade of green one for the kamen rider and ultraman releases, if you can wait until november/december.

There's also a "digivice V" which seemes to be vital bracelet related, coming out in october.

It seems like your options are very limited. Keramon, Chrysalimon, and Infermon are all limited to those little computer devices that accompanied some of the anime toylines. You can unlock Diablomon X in the Digimon X that just got released in the west. There's a more complete Keramon X line in X Ver. 3 but at the moment it's jap only so probably costs an arm and a leg. Damn shame, I'm rather fond of them myself.

Yes, compared to the 20th anni ones X is a complete different thing, the UI may look the same but there are leveling the monsters, dice rolls and mini quests of fighting stronger monsters.
The only negative is there aren't all those eggs like the anni, it's the classic each colored X is it's own evolution line

You keep saying they’re one-offs or a “small set,” but we already know both series are getting minimum 2 volumes plus the initial single vbms. Digimon only seems to be getting like 5 volumes this year at retail, so 4 toku ones in the first few months would practically catch them up, and they can probably release volumes for them even quicker since those series are far more profitable.

You also haven’t acknowledged why they’d use a new term like vbm instead of sticking with dims if they were just one-off crossovers.

I believe he's just referring to unlocking it as a possible evolution. It still evolves from a specific digimon, but the prerequisite to unlocking the ability to evolve to it is to defeat the special encounter. You can complete that prerequisite with any digimon, then raise the digimon you want to become Crusadermon X.

Got Gallantmon X! Woo! Also got Alphamon on this device as well. Gonna switch it up for a bit to the black and red device and raise some mons on there. Shooting for an Omegamon X for Alphamon to fight but I always do a blind run first time so we'll see what I get with the red device.

I do love there's a pause feature on the X's since I'm not super keen on raising two devices at once. Makes it easier for someone like me to manage.

The character VB has a bigger strap than the Digimon ones.
Cards are confirmed not cross-compatible.

Ultra/VB cards also have less sprites than Digimon so that's kinda lame seeing as it's all the same price

The Rider VB with green buttons and the Showa VBM, the Ultra VB with red buttons and Ultra Borthers VBM and the EX2 set are P-bandai. Everything else is regular

Honestly given that they bothered to make sure the VBMs still had 6 levels and everything, I'm guessing they'll work on the devices themselves fine. App compatibility and vs stuff will probably be the big sticking point, if I had to guess.

iirc Okini land had them at like 800 yen. Considering that the PBandai sets have them for like 1000 yen each, I think they're probably singles. Though...PBandai stuff is so overpriced, maybe for the regular releases it'd be two, the child and adult forms. Something like that would make sense. Still, they seem very cheap for that.

No, the standard black Kamen Rider and Ultraman VBs, Kuuga and Tiga VBMs, and future Rider/Ultra VMB sets are all regular releases as well. Only the VBs with different colored buttons and bits with exclusive VBMs are PB-only.
But yeah. EX2 is PB too. I guess it's understandable at least insofar as it's based on an old anime. The first EX set tied to colon, and from October they'll be focused on Ghost Game. We don't even know of any non-GG VB stuff after September. Wouldn't fit in the release schedule either way I guess.

Sleep mode forces the Digimon itself to sleep or wake up. I don't own a VB so I don't know what meaningful difference there is between that and turning the device off but that's what the site says

Most of the text on the watch itself is in English, and enough of the text in the app is in English that you can use it just fine even if you can't read Japanese. You can pre-order the VB itself on Amazon currently, for a November release. P-Bandai might also still have orders open, and I think that one comes out sooner (it's the same watch either way). One last option is to wait for the Digivice V (>>9212130), which seems to be an upgraded version at a lower price.
