Now, if those 5 that just came out came packed in a Snske Mountain set, I'd be stoked. A nice set to build and Roboto and co to complement it? Great.
But they feel so pointless on their own.

Ninjas = Heroic Warriors

Green Ninja = cross between original Green Power Ranger and Prince Adam

Let me help. Mattel provided source material to filmation. All the notes all the lore all the concepts that arrive from that creativity belong to mattel. Weird riffs that filmation or the 200x did on their own do not belong to mattel. Kevin had a toy writer on the team that kept him in the clear from violating the IP of the other two shows. Sometimes mattel pays these people for certain characters like Orko. Based off of the orko toy sales this is needed and mattel will continue to do so no matter how much it pisses them off to have to pay a license to someone for something that should have been contracted to be mattels IP. But he man was just some bullshit a bunch of toy guys cobbled together really quickly so its no surprise a lot of the heavy lifting had to be carried by filmation. Mattel was a barbie company the he man shit was really lucky so no one really should be upset.

>>9194966 Hoo-boy. Orko is an odd duck, in that apparently, Filmation sold off the rights to the character to Mattel, either in 1985, or shortly thereafter. This can be seen clearly by observing the copyright notices on merchandise.
1983-85: When the character is alone, it is usually marked "TM & C 198x Filmation (Assosciates). All Rights Reserved." When in an ensemble, the mark changes to "ORKO and any distinctive liknesess are TM & C Filmation (Assosciates)." The best and most common example of this is the "Filmation" stamp on the underside of the Vintage figure.
1985/6-present: All trademark information on merchandise now reads "Mattel". With ONE notable exception...
2020: Bag clips from Monogram list "C Universal City Studios, LLC" on the reverse side. Later in the year, magnets from the same company list Mattel as the copyright holder once more. Make of it what you will.
But Mattel's hold on Orko ONLY covers Orko, and no other Trollan, or their homeworld, which are held by Universal, via their ownership of the Filmation library.

Every other character on the cast list did speak by episode 3 except He-Ro. Interesting that they didn't reveal the other Champions until like three weeks ago.
>Speaking of the casting list, Cree Summer as Priestess sure turned out to be a whole lot of nothing. Waste of time casting. Why even bother? Seriously. They should have saved their money.
I do like when MotU wears its RPG influences on its sleeve, so I have no complaints about Andra and Unlikable Captain Teela fetching items for a living.
Smith did waste Mattel and Netflix's money paying his buddy to record a couple lines for Stinkor, though. That could have been some other man doubling up on roles.

1-abandon castle because her dad is exiled
2-she tells andra shes doing bounty work to take care of her dad at home with the money
3-have her not try to bite at evilyn when orko dies
4-she can still be mad at adam in heaven, but tell him the world is in danger and she can hate that he never told her, both things can be communicated without being a bitch
4-thats fucking it, you dont really need a lot of more shifts than having her express to adam her disappointment without disregarding his sacrifice.

He even has a friendship with Gwildor in the newspaper comic, where that's Orko's reason for it and Gwildor's is the utilitarian "I want to learn about magic so I can come up with a Unified Field Theory."
Orko lived in a very black and white universe and his reactions to evil people were whatever the writer thought was childish and funny, whether saying "Skeletor? Let me at him!" and shadow boxing or gulping in fear like Scooby-Doo. Him expanding his selfless friendliness to someone with Evil in her name was great character development.

Masters of the Multiverse is a good read. It's just a shame Anti-Eternia and Anti-He-Man are garbage ideas.
