after T-amount of years, the licensee and licensor then enter negoations to renew the contract. In this case, the licensee (Jazwares) didn't renew it for 1/12 scale.
So the license for 1/12 scale was put out for bid again and Hasbro picked it up.
Licenses can't be transfered or sold by the licensee. If they don't use it for a certain amount of time within the T-amount of years, it gets taken away and penalty fees are charged, ontop of whatever royalties were promised to be paid over T-amount of years. Yep, ontop of the licensing fee, a licensee is also expected to pay $Y amount of royalties every year/quarter.
