Do LED lights cause damage to figures?

I've heard this from multiple people on here that LED lights will damage or yellow figures, is this true? I though only UV rays would do that kinda damage

All light will.
Uv is just worse.

Just existing damages the plastic your toys are made of anon, the air, the oils of your skin, heat, humidity.
Try not to worry too much about it, there's only so much you can do and it only delays the inevitable.

Was going to ask in another thread, but this seems like a good thread as any other.

Should I worry about my figures being exposed to a UV Lamp? My roommate had to use the room where I keep my figures in when he got the coof, now that he's fine, he told me to disinfect it or whatever with the lamp.

i once had a xevoz collection that mostly stayed in a box or closet shelf, expectedly protected by the elements. But after digging them out one day, i noticed a lot of parts were cracking and losing their friction. i hardly mix/matched anything.

Keeping things in boxing where they can't air out can also be damaging.
But it could also just be that the production quality wasn't that great. For example, older Figma and Figuarts have more Plasticizer issues than more recent ones, as far as I'm aware.

and vaccume, you don't want surface of your toy to oxidised but i'm not sure if vaccume is good idea, it can suck out moisture of paint ect. so it's not ideal

Literally all plastics will disintegrate, but there are plenty of plastic goods from the 60s that are still lasting. It's just a matter of good quality and how it's taken care of.

In the case of Xevoz I think it's just shoddy plastic, because I've had a very floppy one before despite not playing with it much.

I think the worst is something about the garage, I had some figures in a box in my garage for two years or so, and when I brought them out and tried to move them the joints in half of them fell apart. Not just one but three or four joints. I think they were mainly Neca but there was some other stuff also.
