I unfortunately lost most of my childhood toys in a house fire/demolition. I did get to keep some and Beast Wars Dinobot is still a fav. He means a lot to me since my father got it for me and he’s no longer alive.

As for modern figures, 1000toys Hellboy is probably my top fav followed by ML Beta Ray Bill and then SHF Spike.

Yeah the director of both the Digimon OVAs (which would be stitched together to become the American movie) and Summer Wars is Mamoru Hosoda.
Iirc he really liked working on Our War Game and wanted to do his own version of it so the two films share a lot of elements, but Summer Wars is still good in its own right.

I think I remember physically buying him at an Eckerd's as a kid and constantly moving as a Kid every few years.

Different anon here. I'll always remember watching Summer Wars not knowing it was the same guy and thinking 'huh this plot seems familiar'. As soon as they were inside Oz I had to pause the movie because there was no way it was a coincedence. I thought I was going crazy for a few seconds. I like both movies though for different reasons.

Those 90s Kenner lines are a prime example of why 5POA shouldn't be discounted. Predator, Alien, Gargoyles, Terminator, they look so good that they don't really need all the articulation.

They called him Renegade, but the mini comic did imply he wasn't as experienced as other hunters. He was the only film-accurate design though so he just stood in for the Jungle hunter whenever I needed a Predator.

This was the first Bionicle I built at a very young age. Before the Piraka and Inika lines building a Bionicle figure felt like a daunting, impossible task. Building this and Inika Jaller, the movies, the DS, and my little cousin helped establish a life long love for Bionicle of which I am very grateful.

I had this beautiful beast. Sadly it was donated to a family friend’s kid and I always wished I’d been able to keep it. I do still have the little pod person that came with it, only it’s all chewed up from my first dog. Still kept it cuz it reminds me of him.

I got this for my 8th birthday and it was the most expensive toy I had at the time. The amount of adventures I took Han, Luke, and Chewie on were numerous. Two years later, we were moving and my mom and I were going to the new state first because I had to begin school and my dad was going to arrive the next month. Because we traveled in a small car, I could only bring a small box of toys with me which were a few Star Wars toys. When my dad finally came, I found out he ended up throwing away the big box of toys I had packed which included the Falcon and I was completely devastated. All I had left from it is the ramp and a strut that somehow made it into the box of figures I brought with me which I still have now and I think it is the reason why I still have trouble getting rid of toys to this day.

a 3.5 jet pilot. it had the highest articulation of any of my toys. It was male, in a green suit, no helmet. It had like 10 points of artculation. in the early 90s that was insane. Him and McDonalds happy meal toy "roller Barbie" (similarly unusually high articulation and scale) had many adventures
