Brian summed it up pretty simply as doing o ring figures wouldnt make them reaction anymore. Its possible in the sense of all things are possible but I imagine its similar to the reason he gave for not doing retro tmnt, he wants to ride in their lane if they are still making products at that scale.

At this point Reaction is a style of toy, line funko pops, rather than a toyline. That’s why their transformers, motu, tmnt, etc look like that. The line started as a callback to 70’s toys, but at this point is more like fitting franchises into their style. And yes, people do buy these because they like the style and getting franchises in the same style. They’re not seen as toys or action figures, but pure decorative items.

The reaction logo is even in the same font as the old kenner logo.

They make some things I like, like Maria, their music mascots which can work as generic demons and grim reapers in a pinch, and their original 'bootlegs' that put me in the mind of Sucklord's stuff without the price, or being Sucklord. But I don't really care for their figures like the GI Joe or Aliens ranges because of their actual toylines that I felt like were so much more. On the whole, though, I think they're pretty inoffensive and at their worst are convention autograph fodder.
