My parents put this figure on my top bunk after my mom ripped through cartons and cartons of delivered TMNT figs when I was a kid (and my dad didn't allow "girl toys"), so I definitely know what it's based on. I have a MIB original April, too.

I had just read they were going to make a head that looked more like the cartoon, since no one had ever captured it right, and it still looks terrible. Not the end of the world, but they can't seem to capture the original look at all.

I don't remember if all of them had the logo, but for sure a few version of April did have a Turtles log and not a Channel 6 logo. The logo sort of makes her an unofficial member of the team. She's also the only one who decided to a have a useful weapon like a gun.

I think this was some reject sculpt for Scarlett or something. It doesn't even resemble April from the crossover it's supposed to be from. Granted the art style is somewhat hard to translate into 3D but it doesn't even look like this sculpt was inspired by the art aside from the hair kind of.

I think they had different sculpters back then. I know for a fact 4Horsemen used to work for them a number of years ago, because that was why Neca licensed MOTU to do the Staction figures. They then sculpted a number of toys for them, including the old comic style TMNT figures. Neca does seem to have trouble these days with producing attractive female figures. I don't know why exactly that is.

something changed in neca, its just not the same quality. something changed badly.

neca 10 years ago was top tier. really amazing figs. it isn't just the sculpt changes, but the neca factories and factory quality control is much lower today. it is very sad.
i used to love early neca. V for vendetta was my all time favorite figure. i truly loved that V for vendetta.

i say neca= breaka in hopes that they get better.

Randy needs better sculptors and better chinese factories.
