I'll be visiting New York in a couple weeks

What are the best toy shops to hit up?
I already plan on going to Toy Tokyo and Forbidden Planet. Any other place I should visit?

Midtown Comics has a lot of American made figures, as well as a ton of statue shit. They have some Japanese stuff, but the selection has been cut down by a fuck ton. Image Anime was sick, but they got merc'd by COVID.

You’re shit out of luck. I’ve lived in the NYC area for three years and you named pretty much the only two good places. If you have a rental car, however, there are some good spots in Jersey and out on Long Island.

You should also make a point to go to Dan’s Parents House on City Island. Greatest vintage toy store of all time.

if you don't mind loose figures you can typically find some good stuff at Bookoff. It's all luck of the draw though, but I have gotten some Revoltech and SHF in decent condition there.

If you're into model kits Dashop in Chinatown has gundams sometimes but it's very small.

Lunar Toy Store is in Flushing if you'll be in the area, more anime shit.
