Why are these so expensive now? I don't know anyone who actually remembers this show. I'm missing Kento and Rowen, and can't seem to find them either.

Probably lost the license ages ago. Plus KB was primo for these kind of figures. These days it'd be $15+ for these figures that only have a 30 year old show on streaming services, not the same appeal as when they were like $6, 2 for 10 figures.

The only time I'd even seen these in a store was when the local KB was clearancing out their store. I picked them up due to them being cool looking but sold them over 10 years ago. Even then they went for significantly more than I'd paid for them (picked them up several at $2, they sold open but complete for $20 to $30 each) so their aftermarket value might not be an entirely new thing.

It’s started before him. Amazon video put up for free a lot of the old 90s anime dubs and this series was one of them, just took a month being up there for prices to start climbing rapidly. If anything that clown does what he always does and chases the trend.

Yeah dude I'm not sure if you noticed but KB toys closed 12 years ago. Thats a long time for things to change. Plenty of time for kids who grew up with them to want to buy them again. They're also the only relatively cheap option for these characters outside of maybe model kits and thus a lot fo people want to unbox them which dwindles the supply of sealed figures.

Funny enough, my local UPN or WB stopped showing it in the mornings, and my mom was taping it every day for me. I got really sad, and so she tried to find it on other channels. We found Sailor Moon, which had a similar style (anime) and since there were color themed characters, I assumed the Ronin Warriors were dating all of them, and would show up soon. So I watched tons of Sailor Moon waiting for the Ronin Warriors.

Then, that channel eventually got rid of Sailor Moon, and I assumed Samurai Pizza Cats was connected to Luna and Artemis. But that only took me a few weeks to realize there wasn't actually a Ronin Warriors Cinematic Universe, and they were just taken off of TV.

Different figure actually. The ones in your quoted pic are a little older and from Bandai. the one in you pic is from Sentinel. The Bandai ones are prone to breakage but ebay has replacement hips available. The bandai ones also use chrome finish for some parts while the Sentinel goes for a more flat anime look.

BanDai release Saint Seiya figures in their anime line, maybe they can put new figures out for this property. Ronin Warriors was pretty popular in the mid 90s and even on during the golden age of Toonami, so it's ripe for the nostalgia market.
