But the joints are incompatable with the old ones and they never do updates/re-releases of old designs.

Id literally rather have that then nothing. Im so fucking starved for ANY of the cool alien designs from the newer movies to get made as figures. Past TFA none of them besides a few in the rogue one and solo lines made any of the background aliens from their movies. At this point im ready to sell my left nut to hasbro to have them make me a therm scissorpunch figure

No, they didn't stop falling for bullshit memes. TRU were bought out by Bain Capital in a leveraged buyout. Which means TRU were essentially forced to cover the cost of their own buyout. That's why their prices were higher than everyone else's, but even with that they weren't able to make real profit, so it caused the company to collapse.
