>>9242185yknow, this may have been a factor to my own hobby but ive noticed times where having a piece of a toyline was some sort of "cool kid" hierarchy. At least one action figure meant you were part of a group, while a playset was a "play date" magnet. But of course, you had to provide explicit evidence. Video game ownership was also part of that hierarchy, something i noticed firsthand because i wasnt that into toys.
These days it's all about the skins and buildings you have on your smartphone sim/shooter
