I think they're cool looking and cool in general that they're going to exist...but who is this for? I can only imagine hardcore Street Shark fans being the only ones willing to shell out $75 for what is essentially a history of the franchise. There aren't many of those, if they wanted a more general nostalgic audience it had to be based on the original toys kids grew up with.

If it's a way to test the waters I think just re-releasing the original molds would've been a far better way to do it.

You know, had they actually bothered to make those "updated" figures look like the characters in the show, and at least give them basic articulation, I would have considered dropping 75 bucks for the 4 main sharks. Based on the concept art shown, Piranha guy is an early version of Dr. Piranoid, the oyster dude is an early version of clamando, and since they referred to the shark as ripster, he’s probably an unreleased variant of him. I would probably like these more if they were 35 bucks but even then I don’t get why they didn’t go with releasing the three unreleased figures from the line, Clamando, El Swordo, and Tentakill.

This is so bittersweet, because on one hand we finally have publicly available Street Sharks concept art but on the other hand these figures are so overpriced. The more I look at them, the more they’ve been growing on me but that price point is basically making this dead on arrival. I do wonder if they have more plans with the Sharks though considering that they chose to do these niche releases on creations instead of updated versions of the first 4 sharks.

I like the look of them and can get behind the whole figures based on concept art thing. When I cared aboit Star Wars the McQuarrie figures were awesome so I get what they are doing.

75$ each though for 90's articulation and versions of characyers no fan has any reason to care about or nostalgia for? Nah. Maybe that much for these in a 3 pack. As it is these are an easy pass.

This is literally a toyline I associate with value from when I was a kid.
I could grab one of these guys for sale at KB toys for like the price of a TMNT figure and they were gigantic in comparison.
But I don't think this is some line where the fanbase is all about the lore or the characters. We just liked the toys themselves. Trying to suddenly pretend it's a premium line now is stupid. I got my Mecho Shark for like 8 bucks clearance back in the day.
