>>9276830Covenant felt like a sequel where the writer and actors from the first movie died going home to their home planet, so they had to make shit up with what the original writer said at the bar everyone went to after the afterparty ended and they made do with the actor who survived, who couldn't carry the movie all by himself, so they inserted completely random happenstance characters
I hated Covenant, so i never rewatched it to make sense on why they ended up on some planet that seemed to have nothing to do with the first movies engineers or why they would be celebrating a ship that was long gone for decades/centuries or howeverlong that ship from the first movie was there.
I wanted to like Prometheus and it could have been savaged somehow, but Covenant was a complete failure.
>>9276930I wouldn't say it felt rushed, i'd say it felt extremely forced. Characters HAD to be retarded in the movie to get into the situation they were in.
I've been feeling sorry for Ridley Scott ever since American Gangster. I didn't like Kingdom of Heaven, but that movie would have been better if it wasn't so rushed and i hear the director's cut fixed that, but fuck if i'll watch that now after all his duds since American Gangster.
