The worst thing you can do is let someone else tell you what you should or shouldn't watch. All 3 of the Takra series have their pros and cons like anything else

Moving beyond just endless Optimus and Megatron/Galvatron is one of the best choices they made in those 3 series, adding resurrection into any show is a bullshit copout and immediately ruins all sense of tension or stakes, not that US G1 really had either of those anyway, but it set a great tone for the 3 Takara shows moving forward.
