>>9276617Sometimes I wonder if the people who praise Assaultus to high heavens on here and TFW actually own the figure, and if they do, have they ever actually tried to pose him beyond the Shelf Stance. This is before we get into people who secretly regret owning him and are just trying to rope lurkers into eventually buying the set off of them. Assaultus is just as wobbly as Warbotron, if not even more depending on what you're trying to do with him, which is a shame since he actually has tons of articulation to the point of being able to pull off a natural-looking superhero landing pose. I could replicate pic related, for instance. But then again that pose utilizes 3 points of contact, of course he would be stable in such a pose.
Despite the cool lack of kibble and relative screen accuracy, Assaultus is still frustrating to pose which defeats the entire point of the set's gimmick, since if you just want a big Bruticus to stand at attention and look imposing on the shelf, the polarizing Zeta Bruticus does the job just as well. I ended up just displaying Assaultus as the Combaticons in front of Bruticon, since their bot modes are definitely better than Zeta's.
