Got Magneto. I prefer the OG version but this one is cool. The cape sucks and the hair gets in the way but otherwise I'm pleased.

"Suck" might be a little harsh on second thought. It's just pretty thin, and it's a stiff ribbonesque material so it holds wrinkles and creases. But I guess that's not necessarily bad.

Brown suit wolverine was announced like a year and a half after tiger stripe, I believe. Black Batman was just under a year after Blue Batman, so they do take their time announcing variants. They first showed Magneto back in April 2020. I can see them making another Magneto but I don't think they'll announce it this year. I think we have the rest of the years announcements laid out already.

Before i buy a $500 Mezco Batgman, take out the gun and return it, is anyone aware of a rifle that matches the DKR one? I have the black suit Mafex TDKR Batman and want to have the gun displayed with it. Closest I've seen it is the "Little Armory Girls' Frontline Military Series M14 Rifle 1/12 Scale Accessory" and even then I'm modifying it.

Supposedly there's someone selling casts of the gun but I can't find them.

Theres the custom head from Steelatoncollectables. and there is also one from danscustomsca ($65 inc US shipping).

I cant remember price on Steelatoncollectables, but I think it was less then danscustomsca (i think one s cast and one in 3D printed?). I have the Steelatoncollectables head and it's great.

The Mafex figures, when they don't have QC problems, are fucking great. The paint can be hit or miss sometimes but I've been really enjoying the comic figures I've been getting from them. I just wish they weren't so prone to QC problems at that price point. For $80+ I shouldn't have to worry about whether or not my figure breaks.

Yeah, I think they are great in sculpt. Much better then anything you would see in america. Only one I genuinely dont like is the superman. Looks too young and has a tiny head compared to batman. The black suit one looks much better

They're getting better for sure. I'm not a fan of a few of them because I felt like the faces were a bit too soft and felt more like an imitation of American comic art than actual replication of it. For comparisons sake it was like when you see western toys of Anime, but still better quality of course; just something felt off. That Tony is miles ahead but even with DKR Batman I thought the face didn't look right enough.

Depends what you want. There's a pretty cool 66 Batmobile from Mattel but it might be a bit too retro. There's a really cool R/C Batmobile from Justice League if you like that design, it has gus though and its hard to find new(goes for decent prices loose though.)

The Spinmasters Batmobile for their 12in figures scales pretty damn well with 1/12 figures. It can even sit Batman and Robin fairly comfortably. Only problem is there aren't any seats or a console. I should try to model and print something.

Unfortunately no. He was part of a highly desired 2 pack from the final wave of that line's run. Some of the lesser desired figures go for decent prices but anything highly desired from the DC Icons line like Nightwing or that Super Sons 2 pack is going to cost you a pretty penny.

Basically there's something about the sculpt that feels distinctly Japanese, like an anime adaptation of the art than a straight adaptation. This isn't necessarily a bad thing its just different, and in terms of looking like the comic I think there have been other figures that nailed it better as far as sculpt(unfortunately none of them that had the paint to really sell that)

He's right actually. I see a lot of cape posing but the figures in your pic prove his point. Thats why I only own 1 mafex figure - Spider-Man , mostly for the magnetic feet/hand features. But the hips and torso are about as dynamic as a marvel legends if not less. I especially hate how the legs are connected like a fucking 80's G.I.Joe fig, where if you move one leg, the other moves because theyre fucking connected. Im suprised they don't have rubberbands connecting their torsos too, baka. Great sculpts though. Wish they had more possibility in certain areas. And wish they scaled their villains properly. Like venom and bane. They're supposed to be big guys.

The only ML that comes even close to the range of movement is the Retro Spider-Man mold. They've made exactly one figure with that mold so far and just announced a second. You couldn't be more wrong.

Now Im thinking I need to get into ML, at least the new body articulation for this spidey, it looks great actually. Especially for the price point. Not even trolling but what was your point exactly? That the new ML spider is the only ML that can compare in articulation to mafex? If so I see what youre saying and agree. Aesthetically, the ML is looking better too (sculpt/paint/pose) to me. But thats great option because Im a figuarts collector and they have been falling off a bit to me lately so cool to see cheaper options catching up to the "premium" ones.
