Status of MCX:
Land Shark, Slime Pit and "Hordak Strikes" construction sets.
Slime Pit pre-order is only $10.34 (confirmed skeletor head), while Land Shark is $26.24 ... that shouldn't be any bigger than the $19,99 MSRP Battle Ram, so I hope there's a third figure and other goodies.
"Hordak Strikes" shows an MSRP of $29.99 ... I have no idea what that's going to entail: just figures like the $19.99 5-pack? Figures with buildable Mantisaur?
Thread Question: Which MOTU character would you cosplay as?

Just got my Rise of Evil two pack. I don't see how Kronis is any worse than Stratos. They both have pretty terrible color schemes, but at least Kronis' accessory is somewhat useful for posing. Keldor / Skeletor, however, is fucking amazing. Exactly what it was hyped up to. It's a fucking great Keldor and like an ultimate edition Skeletor. I unironically liked W1 Skeletor and I still like his cartoony look, but this guy has such a feel about him.

Most people are going to tell you to start with Origins and I'd agree, but just know that every figure that isn't default He-Man and Skeletor will be a pain to get if you aren't constantly checking online stores or are unwilling to pay 2-3x MSRP on sites like Ebay

Hearing that Hamill was cast in the role did make me groan initially, because I knew he'd just phone in his stock Joker voice for it like he does for every villainous role he plays, but it worked better for the character than I was expecting. There were a few points where he suddenly shifted into a Vincent Price-style cadence that I absolutely loved, and wish that he'd simply used that voice for the whole performance, but what we got wasn't bad at all, to me.
The problem was Kevin Smith blatantly just being a cookie-cutter Big Two nerd and choosing to fanboy over BTAS instead of trying to find someone who could capture the essence of Skeletor's iconic Filmation voice, but to be fair, Skeletor's voice in The New Adventures was modeled on Jack Nicholson's Joker, so there is a precedent for this sort of thing.

An exception would be that horde 4-pack, as I feel like enough changes to the deco was done to make it different enough.
Honestly its been a rollercoaster of triumph and FOMO. Literally for the first 2 months all there was was Skeletor and Battle Cat, until one of the Wal-Mart's got the endcap display around October. I got worried as I saw nothing new until late March, which was W3 at Target, so I though W2 got skipped and taken by those syrup swilling leafs, but it hit Wal-Mart like a week later. I was the Anon a thread or two back that talked about riding my bike and adding a Target "pee and look for MOTU" leg of the route. I have found EVERYTHING so far, including most WWE (couldnt find Undertaker or Snake Moutain ring and skipped New Day. Also a cost/space issue of storing Greyskull and 2 rings) up to Wave 6 and the wind raider, which i hope to find soon. Ive been so blessed that I have initially passed about 1/3rd of the figures and been able to find them again when I feel like completing a wave (looking at you BA He-Man, which weirdly had a whole case drop at a Wal-mart today that hasnt seen anything new since W1). But take notice of how everything has been found at retail due to my autistic FOMO compelling me to check at least one store a day. This has lead to an issue
I skipped last year's Powercon exclusives but dammit now that I have Greyskull I want the acessory pack, specifically Spirit Geyskull and the spacesuit (which could be single carded in the future). I wont be able to get the Powercon because I waited too long to preorder, and now its going to be scalped to Hell and then I feel like a loser for paying too much on a toy at 21. I could have used the money on Yeungling and Frankenberry.

Are there any figma figures of He-Man?

>>9292055 >You guys need to learn that a sample size of a few online posts doesn't account for every Target in the US. This cuts both ways.

Anonymous
These two are great. Stinkor really doesn't smell too terrible, you gotta shove the dude into your face to get the smell. That said it isn't pleasant, but the smell won't contaminate your house. Webstor is great, but he only wants to go about halfway up his line before stopping. Both mine and the one my girlfriend got have this issue, so I'm guessing it's common. I tried to apply a bit more force to get Webstor to climb all the way up the line but no dice. I'm not going to risk launching him and breaking the string. That aside these guys look rad as hell. Possibly two of the best figures so far, especially Webstor.

Anonymous
>>9292188 I've always thought Webstor is a character held back by MOTU's structure as a toy line. Still cool and if I encounter one in the wild (yeah right, He-Man and Skeletor ad infinitum) I'd pick it up.

>>9292219 I think he looks fantastic, I'd definitely recommend him. His only true fault I'd say is the lines need to emulate gimmicks more than improve on them. Think a tape measure and how they rely on coils, I think that would have made for a far smoother gimmick rather than sticking with a string. You can manually push him up the final half of the string, but once he stops halfway up, I can't say I'd recommend using more force.

>>9292261 I'm referring to the fact that his identity as a spider monster is dwarfed by the parts reuse. It's one thing I think the 2002 line and Classics improved enormously, same for Masterverse thus far. It's not like I expected Origins to go down the same route, though.

So is Webstor even a spider? He looks like a pig faced gar drenched in acid.

Lol! So Liocockboy did a stream last night calling out creepy Val Staples on his boot licking for Mattel. He dug up every infraction on
crybaby.org going back to 2014. He even is still mad about a pm from Val from 2017 asking him where the anger is coming from.
He’s always going on he hates what Scott and Mattel has done to MOTU and how Super 7 is destroying TCats. Does he honestly think he could run it better??

>>9292071 I wouldn't want a Figma but a Figuarts or AY Revo Skeletor could be cool as fuck. I don't even own any Revoltech toys; it just seems like a good fit. I don't think there's much of an audience for MOTU in Japan, though, and I have a feeling a lot of Western collectors would turn up their noses no matter how it turned out.

>>9292560 Yes. They like it as a joke but most of them are very homophobic.
Just bought scareglow, evil lyn, beast man and trap jaw. Scareglow and evil lyn were from amazon mexico so they are arriving soon. Beast man is from amazon usa but retail price. Trap jaw fuck my life I got him for 30 bucks now I only need to find triclops at a decent price. I see if I can get Stinkor too, I'm just buying the Skeletor gang...for now.

Anonymous
>>9292595 Very fucked. My fear is buying from the usa because I have no idea how to ship stuff from there outside of Amazon because of the law here in mexico that requires a sanitrary permit to import human shapped thing from private shipping companies. I buy all my weeb shit from japan but always with EMS to evade that shit.

I can only buy from amazon or if I find one at walmarmt because here on mexico on local websites(Mercari-like websites) people resell origins like it was a fucking japanese import figure or some shit. They want 60 bucks or more for one origins figure, not even a hard to get one.

What's the consensus on DC's Masters of the Universe comics? I like the toys so I'm watching the Filmation series and I read the first 6 issue miniseries from 2012 cause I'm a big comics guy. It was alright, but something felt missing. Is it worth it to keep reading onto the ongoing or should I just stop?

>>9292665 It's a mixed bag, and a lot more radical and edgy/subversive than Revelation. I liked it overall, but I think it gets worse as it goes on. It's not the most elegant writing. I applaud its commitment to nonsense plot twists, though.
