>>9288510Michael, if you're reading this:
1) thanks for taking the time to actually show this set. Thanks for including tons of different photos throughout your video of everything including movie clips. I stopped watching your videos after your Battlestar Galactica Viper video where you simply sat next to it and talked, since I wanted to see more of the toy itself.
2) Awesome concept, and actually one I had been intending on doing one day. I actually had the micro Freeze Chamber as a kid so I'm partial to it as well. And personally, I didn't want to just buy one, I wanted to have the fun of making my own
3) Improvements. Looks great, could use some sanding, etc. But in all honesty, it really should have incorporated some laser cut acrylic pieces instead of being fully 3d printed. The spinning mechanism also looks like it would benefit from a thicker laser cut piece. No reason why you couldn't incorporate even more "mixed media" utilizing laser cut pieces like acrylic, and even wood if you cover the wood with styrene to prevent the "painted wood" look, to give it more strength and stability.
Also, even for, say the sides of the main floor, I'd still make some "Kenner-esque" stickers to apply here and there just to give it that extra touch of dimension and vintage-ness. Not something to replace a wall, just little things to suggest a random panel here and there
But seriously dude, good job with the closeup shots. But please tone down the negativity. I get the trolls talk a ton of shit, but not all of us are reading the comment sections and following the drama. For every fan "doing the best work", they all started with a ton of unstarted ideas, not everybody has the time or means to focus on these things.
