That's common with dual wielding Star Wars characters. It's really annoying. But just heat up the hand until it's soft and you can separate the index finger with an exacto blade pretty easily.

it's not mcdonalds because it was pretty big (around 12 cms) and i remember it being either from mattel or hasbro, not so sure. but it's definitively from the original release or later ones around the year 2000s.

I've been playing around with his leg and there is no swivel or twisting above his calves so his one knee is facing slightly inward, making his stance and pose look a bit awkward.Maybe I just have a bum copy.

Oh! Okay, yeah, it's stuck. So on the new Bebops (you got the line down the front of the abdomen, I presume you got this from the pre-order? That detail wasn't added til later batches) the thigh swivels are crazy stuck. I rrrrrrrrrrrrreally wish they'd just gone over to the ball hips on these guys.

Not sure how good you are at boil and pop, but that was the best way I found to get them moving. I'd normally say just twist them till they pop free, but with the current hip construction, the force you're putting on the part trying to get them to move will probably end up breaking something. It's kind of a bitch to do with Bebop especially. My first set of Bebop and Rocksteady had no issues getting moving. And this pre-order set Rocksteady's thighs moved just fine out of the box too. Bebop I had to pop his whole legs off.

And I know, "you shouldn't have to do that" etc etc etc.

i don't know if its the pre-order version or not, I was not aware of that problem. I just bought it off of ebay new (I think) so I didn't know which version it is. I'll have to see if thers a video on how to fix it

Those started as a Kickstarter project. The point of Mighty Maniax is very similar to the Glyos toys where they can mix and match parts so you can get multiple werewolves if you want. There's only like 4 werewolf forms iirc but since you can mix and match you can put the head on any of the human ones for a anthro style. However I only got the exclusive pink werewoofer and that was 25 shipped. It's solid even as a 5poa toy. I like it.

They've been propogating on /trash/ for awhile now but why exactly is this thread allowed to be outside of that containment zone? I was looking into Paw Patrol and depends on what you want. They are mostly about the vehicles so the figures that come with it only have the head turn for articulation, then they go these jumbo pups but still limited articulation, and I have seen some with 5PoA, and they also have plushes, so it depends what your looking for

I cut it off, with a razor saw IIRC. It's on a straight swivel, and I wasn't going to use the humanoid portion so I didn't mind about damaging it. Was surprisingly tricky though, and digging the remains of the mushroom peg out even moreso.

Both the 1/6 and the 1/12 Anubis have swappable heads, so I was thinking of finding something like a Body Kun or similar to use. If the head doesn't fit quite right I can always add some sticky tack or something to help keep it in (I've had to do it for Mythic Legions custom heads.) Between the dust, and the inevitable degradation of the phicen body, I'd like another option. (plush I had thought about kit bashing one with parts off ebay so I can paint his head black instead of brown and not feel too bad about it if I fuck it up)

Eh. The belt is harder to figure out, not sure on the safe way to take it off. Would be nice to have him nude with just his collar and cufflinks on so I can swap his hands for the open claws and pose him gripping his butt. Yo it's me again. After playing around with my lovely husband today and looking up pictures of the belt sold individually online at part stores I found the secret to his belt. If you take a closer look at it you'll see the chains dangling from the sides of it. At first I thought it was part of the aesthetic, "guardian" and all, but if you take a closer look those chains are what holds his belt onto his body. You want to take a look at the big golden hoops connecting the chains to the bronze part of the belt, they're actually NOTCHED. So you can dislodge the hoop and slide the chain off from maybe 2 or 3 of the sections and then you can just slide it off down his legs like the underwear he comes with. I haven't done it yet though because once you do it putting it back on leaves room for you relinking it wrong and making the belt uneven. Going to take some more pictures so I don't screw up reattaching it before I give it a try.

Actually, don't do this at all. I just gently unhooked the hoops, took the chains off, and began sliding the belt down, but it got stuck at about his thighs and wouldn't go any lower without putting serious strain on the plastic. Pulled it back up and spent half an hour trying to rehook the tiny chains back on the loop and bend the hoop back together so they don't fall off.

I just don't get it. I don't know how to undo this belt. I even tried the big green jewel on the center since it came slightly loose when I first unboxed it and squeezing Anubis horizontally makes the belt flex outward a bit so it LOOKS like it was holding the belt in place, but all the green jewel does is hold his little sashes underneath the belt. The belt's not attached to the body in any other way than around him.
I mean the only thing I can think of at this point is this person >>9381112 probably bought a separate Anubis body and just slapped the head on. I have no idea how else it could have happened. Fuck, just when I thought I had figured it out...

these figures are really hit or miss with some pretty substantial QC issues. I've seen plenty of cases where they ship with two of the same wings, and loose joints are very common, although the latter is an easy enough fix. Buy him if you can find him at a good price, otherwise pass.

I would have wanted the wings to be segmented like Marvel BaF Sauron or either soft plastic or cloth wings, but I can only think he'll have 2 arms outstretched with wings as a solid piece and then have a second pair of arms with the wings in an inert state and normal arm articulation

The figure looks good and has decent articulation, but the joints are kinda stiff and the head pops right off the ball joint if I move it too far. He can do the charging headbutt pose really well.

This is my personal experience with my figure. Fuck you Necanon if you see this.

What type of feet for toon mammals (rabbits, foxes, etc.) looks both realistic enough and aesthetically pleasing?
I've already attempted to do some research for this topic (in the process of making a certain custom and happened to stumble upon the feet dilemma) but i'd rather ask for someone's opinions first.

if its a toon mammal, you would have do the plantigrade feet. Toons in particular normally have the flat feet (bugs bunny, nick wilde, judy hopps) and in my opinion it works better that way. Toons or "funny animals" is a particular art style where animals act like people so they ussually flatten their feet to make them more human like. The only reason a toon would have digitigrade feet would for some kind of aesthetic reason. Digitigrade feet is seen on more animalistic characters, which can be for a good guy but is an outsider like Goliath from Gargoyles or the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, or for an evil character like the many interpretations of the devil with cloven hooves. Really it depends on what character your going for but in my opinion, for your question, I would go with the tried and true plantigrade flat feet.

Depends on how ‘animal’ the character is in terms of design and behavior. Planigrade humanoid feet work best to me for characters who are more to the ‘human’ side of the furry-spectrum in terms of features and behavior, like Polt from Monster Musume (though she has pads on the underside of her feet). The more animalistic characters work better with feet virtually the same as their RL animal counterparts but at appropriate sizes for a humanoid being. Cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny can get away with big feet for stylistic purposes of cartoons, but if you’re going for more realism in terms of animal anatomy then the feet should be no bigger than a human’s at their size. Wolves, dogs, deer, and bears occasionally walk on their hind legs and can amble about with little difficulty when the situation calls for it, so the larger feet of classic anthropomorphic characters isn’t necessary for an obligate or exclusive biped. Same number of digits and same design as the real animal’s still, so digitigrade/unguligrade/planigrade as appropriate.

It's kind of hard to stylize this for a toon/anthro hybrid and make the feet at least not setting off
I'll probably make plantigrade feet with less pronounced shape so it won't look like a human foot

Personally I've struggled more with figuring out ideal hands rather than feet or legs. Like those anons said, plantigrade or digitigrade legs will usually work depending on situation and style but for arms/hands there are no defined standards, they're more or less improvised in each work and with how much variety there is between paws, hooves, wings and whatnot adapting all that into hands in a manner that still works well is a challenge to be sure. For example in Poppy O'Possum birds have normal wings equipped with attachments that generate humanoid hands when they're needed, it looks pretty awkward but then again so is the classic method of turning wing feathers into "fingers".
