It's because of shipping cost autism I guess, might as well ship the items only after an arbitrary number of purchases so when the total cost is divided between the items then essentially you paid only minuscule amounts for each.

they might have to update the TOS after this, since they're teh only ones who do this. Even somethign as reasonable as

"you can only extend your warehouse items past the date of shipping if you order somethign that also ships within a month of the expected complete order"
It'd probably lighten the load and cut out the second warehouse.

They used to. Once they implemented their current policy due to covid, they just didn't bother updating the site's functions (they were probably assuming the pandemic would blow over after a year at most), so you'll get the warning but it won't actually auto-ship.

Bandai's not been able to make enough stock to properly fulfill pre-orders lately, I've had some 30MM stuff pre-ordered, but it's taken another month or two for Bandai to reprint the kits and get them sent out to distributors to keep fulfilling pre-orders.

That honestly could’ve happened.

One of my big collector buddies died from it before summer and he’s still getting shit he pre ordered showing up at his door. I’ve been helping his wife deal with it and recently we discovered he had a secret bank account that some stuff getting taken out of it. She called cause his pile of loot (5 big boxes) came and Super 7 shipped 2 sets of W3 Turtles.

Also had another collector buddy I’ve know since first grade die but I’m chalking that one to covid as well. His parents both got it and died. He struggled with depression and took his life 2 months later. His brother tells me his landlord still gets packages of limited print games and records showing up. Like he recently got a record ordered back in Nov of last year. It could’ve very well happened. I wonder long pos my Mezcos and Figmas could still be showing up if I die suddenly.

It's a slippery slope, man. They say yes to you, word gets out, and suddenly you have tons of people hassling customer service everyday about bending the rules because "you did for that one guy." Eventually, this renders the rules worthless, cause everyone will see it as a low fence they can just hop anytime.

I like friendly and flexible customer service as much as the next guy, but I completely understand where they're coming from. Just look at what happened when they bent their rules for COVID: people walked all over them, and continue to.
