Anonymous
>>9304797 honestly I would expect a figure this large to be incapable of supporting its weight while leaning backwards, just like real life. That's a reasonable place for the knees to buckle, because the alternative is ridiculously strong knee ratchets.

>>9304809 I wonder if they switched factories with the turtles? They did with Thundercats, because they were having issues at the first factory which produced figures for Mattel as well. Either way, wave 3 had a lot of paint QC that the first 2 waves didn't. Shit happens I guess, but maybe the figures will get a re-issue down the line and those will have better paint apps.

>>9304821 it looked to me like the knees held up to a reasonable tilt, and once that tilt was surpassed, then they failed. so unless you want to pose your Sentinel doing limbo.... and maybe then just get a stand? I certainly dislike when knee ratchets are TOO strong, that makes posing harder.
>>9304827 naw that's not the reason, it's because you can't trademark a generic word like bumblebee or hot rod. you also can't trademark a person's name, and that's what Donatello is. If he was Hamato Donatello, that you can trademark. but I think only the 2003 versions took their grandfather's name.
you see it in marvel legends figures sometimes too, you can't trademark 'thing' so it'll be like 'Marvel's Thing'
now obviously if you tried to sell any character even remotely turtlesque and called him donatello you'd be in trouble, but not for trademark violation.

Similarly for wave 2, recolored Shredder would have made way more sense, albeit slightly stepping on the toes of the toon line. I guess mutagen man and baxter make sense as the most kinda twisted mutants, so glow in the dark stuff works on them, but just.. uuugly colors.
wave 3 didn't have its alt color shown yet, did it? because I would think metalhead, since he had a recolor in the old toyline. though of course April did too, but different stripes aren't gonna sell that well.
