What does your significant other think about you collecting toys, is it something you can share together? Do they collect toys themselves?

My girlfriend doesn't really care, but my collecting isn't really intrusive on other things in my life.

She doesn't really collect that often, but she has a few figures. She'll get blind boxes if they look cute/cool. She has a couple of figmas and an SHF that I bought her, but because she wanted them as christmas/birthday gifts.

my wife thinks it's a waste of money and doesn't understand it. She knows I like them and she respects that. When we were dating for years it was a bit more difficult since she couldn't grasp why I liked them, but she knows its a part of me. A few years ago /toy/ told me to get rid of her in a similar topic, I didn't and I won, she eventually understood we all have our "own" things. YMMV

I don't collect toys, but I do collect toy soldiers and military books. After dating awhile I told them about it, but never went into any detail. I don't talk about it with my girl or try to get her into it. Women are generally not into those things.

My girlfriend thinks its incredibly dorky, but knows how much I like them. I keep most of my toys in the office save for the random robots that sort of go with the bric a brac decor. She did buy me an EVA 01 gunpla kit on our first anniversary so she cant hate it too much.

Mine only collects what i buy her but i do put effort into getting things that might brighten her day. She does get annoyed with me at some of my habits but mostly she understands i guess.

We frequently talk about our interests, even if we don't know much about the other person's hobby. It's fun explaining to her how some figures work, articulation wise, for instance, 1.0 vs 2.0 bodies for shf dragon ball figures. I like hearing her sperg about her kpop photocard collection and her efforts in acquiring certain upcoming releases. We show off our purchases and have a good time enjoying each other's company.
