The toy looks nice, but it may be a little too elaborate for a 2yo.

This. Although I am not a parent, probably smart to get some bigger cars that won't be easy to eat. I have no idea if 2 year olds do things like that, but better be safe than sorry. The playset looks amazing though and I am sure they will appreciate it. Maybe better to wait till they are like 4 though idk. Again I am not parent.

Depends on the kid but general rule of thumb is to not give a kid under four something small enough they could fit in their mouth.

Not sure about play sets but cars are like little better Hot Wheels. Usually featuring opening doors or hoods and working spring suspension.
