>>9321798 >Who would you like to see in the new 2021 He-Man & the Masters of the Universe Show and what would their bio be like? I'll go with my immediate thought, Jitsu and Fisto. I want them to be childhood friends/rivals... oh wait, they'll probably still be children, and if they were adults, having an adult on the hero side aside from Battle Cat would be kind of odd. Ok, well prodigies, one known for his powerful chop and the other with his powerful punch. They'll randomly join the main heroes when they happen on a mission or a battle. Something bad will happen, and both are in trouble, but in a moment of weakness Fisto acts selfishly and doesn't help his friend while he lucks out and gets away. The evil masters flee the battle, and pretending to have the compassion that his friend didn't, Lyn offers to help Jitsu and they all escape. He'll know be the youngest member of the team and have a bone to pick with someone on the opposing team. Then through a bit of Skeletor's brainwashing he amplifies the hurt feelings into negative ones. Eventually he can be redeemed and become good again.
Something like that. Basically they both have weapons ready for the Power of Grayskull or Havoc ready to go.

In a subscription based line, on the 30th anniversary of MOTU, it’s beyond me that Scott would essentially force his shit OC onto us in the classics line. Also consider that there’s Lieutenant Spector whose face was literally modeled after Scott. That’s 2 self-inserts in classics. “Mighty” Spector comes equipped with a fucking lightsaber and a time travel device so you can basically shove him into any MOTU story. It’s dumb.
Scott’s defense of this is that in a line with ninjas and cowboys, a superhero should be fine, but consider that Spector looks like a Rob Liefeld character and really has nothing interesting going for him. It’s just a bad donut steel OC design. Rio Blast at least had a fuckton of guns to almost transform with and Ninjor has always been a lesser character- but neither of them are such blatant self-inserts.

By being a corporate sycophant who will always be happy and positive to your face while they stab you in the back. Too many people here are naïve to what its like to be part of a corporate culture, even as an influencer associated with a specific brand rather than internal to the company.
You always have to act happy and friendly in order to keep moving up. No one likes a negative person in the corporate world, they only want to see smiling faces. It's only in private you rip off your face and reveal that you're secretly a demon that eats human brains as you backstab your other competitors within the company who are competing for the same position you want.

How would you make some gimmick characters more "serious" while still retaining their flavor and charm? Using Stinkor as an example, instead of having a superpower where he just smells really bad, he'd be Snake Mountain's resident chemical weapons expert who, after near-constant exposure to his own experiments, has a lingering stench that many find very, very unpleasant. But instead of beating people with braps, he melts their lungs with mustard gas.

Like over time he keeps getting bits and limbs hacked off and replaced with ramshackle metal parts or stapled back on, possibly even dying and having to be resurrected with lightning, coming back more and more bestial to the point where he will gore himself just to get a scratch in on He-Man. Add a new feature where his heart is visable like a Handyman from Bioshock and can be pumped.
Maybe its because I'm going to HHN on Friday and TCM is one of the houses, but what about a King Hiss who's human shell is a horrific patchwork of different Eternian races all stitched together (including Gar and other odd colored races). The shell would be a rubber akin to the real feel on the Jurassic Park stuff from the 90's and an action feature could be that the snakes under the skinsuit can writhe.
Adding to this idea of "snakes in disguise" would be that Snakeface is just some poor Eternian who's corpse is now infested and puppeteered by a bunch of snakes, or even worse is alive in a neurotoxin induced zombie state of acting as both a mobile base for the parasitic snakes and a nest, with the hatchlings feating upon it's inner meat.
I reached the Bug Pit scene from King Kong recently, so how about a lightning round of Mosquitor will literally run you through and suck you dry, Cell style. Leech is more like the lamprey things that eat Andy Serkis, with each sucker replaced with one of the extendo-mouths they have.
