>>9362967>I'm really interested in some of these, especially the big T-rex and this trios >9360426 but this would be my first time backing BoTM. How are people's experience with him on the previous 2 campaigns? >But how are the delays, prototype/final product discrepancy, joint tolerance, fragility, etc.I didn't back the previous two campaigns(though I did join in on the backerkit for the Ceratopsians) but as far as overall the figures are great. The raptors were his first proper line on his own(though some rather fragile articulated resin raptor and Oviraptor kits were made before BOTM became a thing) and while they have their issues were great overall. Ceratopsians were a huge improvement, I've really enjoyed the ones I got. Tyrannosaurs, based on what we've seen, seem to continue that trend of improvement.
Delays have only really affected the ceratopsians and it was out of his control(COVID).
The discrepancy between prototype and final hasn;'t really been a big issue at all, a few things here or there. Only thing that immediately comes to mind is that the Psittacosaurus from the Ceratopsians line was intended to free-stand and the prototype was able to, but when he got the paint sample it wasn't able to so he had to include a stand.
Joints have improved with each line but are overall good. No huge fragility issues that I'm aware of
> The fact that the guy used to work for NECA made me concerned that these 200 bucks dinos would be NECA quality.Nah, no reason to think that. Silva is still a sculptor for NECA, but BOTM is his own separate thing he does.
