exo-force can deal with making bright colored red and blue and yellow mechs because its more of an anime inspired brand. I do miss exo-force.
nexo-knights feel like they watched to make both a warcraft and a warhammer40k theme. It makes it have less of a personality if you combine the knight-like looks with those big machines. Combine that with the main team having too much of a wide range of colors and they are just a medieval Ninjago theme too.
The too much color is one of the reason I don't like Ninjago either. It takes a very cool theme and mixes in the PowerRanger forumla.
I think the Alpha Team theme did the best work on both making a recognizable team but also keeping the coolness of the whole "secret agent".
