https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azaFs60N6oMThe video itself has over 54,000 views. He also made a big stink about that TVC Galaxy's Edge Millenium Falcon, which for some reason, no matter how many times it's explained to him, he still doesn't get the special circumstances behind why it ended up being sold thru Target. Scott's made like a half a dozen videos at this point related to Michael's claims regarding the Galaxy's Edge Falcon, and Michael still makes the claim.
1. It was a high end Disney Park exclusive, that was unable to be sold, because the Disney Parks were closed due to covid.
2. None of it was new tooling, it was made with existing molds.
3. It was sold thru target because it was sitting in a warehouse collecting dust.
4. Most were sold online only.
5. Many people still scoffed at the high price point and insisted they would wait until it price dropped to $200, which it never did, because it was produced in a small amount.
People like Michael and Paul from Jeditemplearchives bitched about how limited it was, despite the pre-made small number being made for Disney parks, and the amount of toy collectors who were greedy and cheap who said they wouldn't pay more than $200 for it. Retailers just aren't into losing hundreds of dollars per toy, and have limited shelf space of which they could put toys that are smaller and cheaper and more popular in those locations. Michael knows all this shit and insists that you absolutely can sell a $400 OR $500 toy easily at retail that would only be bought by adult collectors.
