>>9374598Sounds like you're not being very Brave...
>>9374604>IDW was far, far too established to actually integrate the 13 Primes lore when it was a Hasbro mandateIt was intedasting enough for them to like, have Sentimental be menacing and warn of the Primes' return, having them as an ancient and hopefully eldrich or at least mad threat that would come and mess with the relative peace of the land. But instead it's more Shockwave, even though he got decent closure for his arc and you just reversed his development!!!
>his appeal is that he's a good man fighting a bad warHis nobility and his suffering in IDW and Marvel made him worthy of being in my top 5. There's no shame in having him as a fave, he's just that good. (Bee's wholesome too, but not quite in my 5... uhhh Magnus, Rod, Shockwave, Grimlock, Optimus in no order?)
>stuff should be kept somewhat separateSeparate generations or just separate settings/distance? Rodimus was nowhere near Unicron, huh... The original plan was for him to die anonymously to stop the Council, finally choosing the right thing over glory.
>novels>tfw have to read literature to catch up on comic books and enjoy children's toysHm.
>Orion was a senator firstWhich origin is best? Archivist, cop, or centaur? I think my Kreon world had him as a postman but I could be mistaken. His role and good nature would have him travel across Cybertron and meet different people, the various independent/(in)fighting Autobot and Decepticon cities and befrending folks who'd be enemies with each other. IDW already stole so many ideas out of my brain, they may as well steal that one too for IDW3.
>we didn't get a sense of the planet, or a sense of the impending dark agesBut but worldbuilding
>focused so much on the Star Saber and Requim Blaster and getting all sorts of dumb relics of the Primes it became a mcguffin huntMacguffins can be interesting but uh, overemphasis definitely makes it dry and ho-hum.
>couldn't keep the swords straightH-huh
