I have an Instagram account and follow a few indie toy makers. Man, Instagram just makes me mad though. They collect data and tailor adds to your account even based on your text messages. They also were very annoying during the election, and started censoring things for the pandemic and covid. I took a long break and may not return. Its just not worth it.

de-federated social media is the future. All those sites you listed are/will be banned from payment processors, and are run by retards. The founder of Gab has to accept checks though the mail after Visa/Mastercard put the site on their "match" blacklist and won't process their payments.
