>>9433437>>9436162When it comes to something you’re doing for yourself, it’s acceptable as long as you’re happy with it. There are always things you can do to grow and improve, but even professionals still make mistakes and “perfect” is unobtainable.
If you don’t mind some advice from a nonprofessional, I’d suggest thinning your paints some more. The goal is to build up thin layers with multiple coats. Even if something is going to be entirely one color, this method will give you a more natural look. It’ll look less like paint and more like the color of the plastic.
The best advice is to practice though. It may be cliche, but that’s because it’s true. I’d also suggest following action figure customizers and miniature painters on the social media of your choosing. Seeing how they do things is very informative.
If you’d rather pay someone to do it, then make sure you look at the stuff they’ve done before. That’ll give you an idea of their style and abilities.
Great job on the figure, btw. I really like how it turned out. Did you paint the black on the arms and legs? The fading there is really nice.
