They've also recently revealed Wave 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Brian Flynn has also teased that Baroness and likely Scarlett will be in Wave 2 of G.I. Joe Ultimates.

Recent Fwoosh interview with Brian Flynn, in which Brian discusses upcoming toys and the recent shipping crisis which had hindered production on Thundercats. He also goes into detail discussing resculpting Cheetara and perhaps making a head pack for Thundercats so they can all have Glow in the Dark eyes:

Brian Flynn discusses all this in the recent Fwoosh interview and in other recent interviews regarding how he had to raise prices. Smaller companies such as Super7 were forced to raise their prices before big companies like Hasbro and Mattel did. Brian has said the following:

Pretty much China and US government regulations fucked up the shipping industry, raising prices on everything.

You know the answer. That's a mass retail figure that perhaps 200,000 or more units were manufactured for and pre-bought by mass retailers, while a Super7 is a low production run made to order figure of only a few thousand. Hence the price difference.

Does a failed netflix show really command that much more power as a license over super7 stuff?

What about neca goliath at $32.99? Isn't that a "collectible" since its stored in the electronics dept like all neca stuff rather than the toy aisle, and is aimed at adults?

And if that is still considered a figure pre-bought by mass retailers, why doesn't Super7 sell to mass retailers?

It isn't because the NECA stuff is basically sold on commission through Target. NECA basically rents out their space.

They do it because they can. If they suddenly put some products out at retail for 30-40, they'd be 'devaluing' their products, making their $55 look crazy. Naturally, their TMNT (or probably the Hasbro property items) probably sells big units, and so would cost less per unit, yet remains the same price as figures that surely don't sell nearly as well, like their Worst figures, or those musicians.

Basically, there's no point in them offering an alternative because what they have now is working for them. Could they potentially sell more units if they were at big box retail? Maybe, but first of all retailers don't want products so expensive, and they're not going to lower their prices now.

Yes, one's current media and the other isn't.

That's a retail figure sold in the adult collectible section at Target. By the same argument you can say, "Why aren't Boss Fight Studios figures sold at retail? They make Bucky O'Hare and Sam & Max, and a number of other licenses, such as Flash Gordon, why aren't they sold at retail? Why do they cost so much?"

The answer is they're a small company and Target just doesn't hand out shelf space to anyone who asks. There's probably like 520 different Scott Nietlich videos addressing this on his youtube channel at this point, in which he answers the same questions nerds ask him every day about the toy industry.

They do, it's just Re-Action Figures solely, and they have a non-compete agreement with Neca over TMNT, which was complicated to get to retail in the first place because Playmates has the retail toy rights. Most of what Neca makes are movie tie-in figures and therefore Neca's allowed more real-estate at retail, such as when they do shit like toys for that last Terminator movie which nobody liked, or the recent IT movie, or for Halloween Kills, etc. And the main reason Re-Actions are allowed at retail is because Super7's brand partners allow them to have the pegs. The reason you see Transformers and now G.I. Joe Re-Action figures at Target, is because Hasbro lets them in order to advertise Hasbro's licenses.

A lot of these arguments are loaded overly simplified to be honest.

This basically. Lego does the same thing at most retailers. Lego has a deal where they rent out entire large sections of shelf space and pay the retailers for those spaces. Then they have someone they pay come in and stock the section and put up displays, etc. Some pegs in stores in the toy sections are also rented out to specific toy companies in a similar manner. In Neca's case the struck a deal to purchase a section of the electronics area and pay for shelf space after they had already built up a track record at Toys R Us prior to the shutdown, which allowed Neca to cut a deal first with Gamestop, and then Target, and then finally Walmart.

Neca had already had a foot in the door for years and had sold movie licensed toys, such as Kill Bill action figures years ago, and are therefore advertising current Hollywood movies to a certain degree, even though they do make other things, many of which is in similar wheelhouse to Super7's.

Those answers give me the feeling they are small time and don't want to even try to be big time. They are buying up licenses like crazy but are just a "small company" who can't convince retailers to stock their products

Also Re-action figures despite being in mass retail stores really emphasize how little value is in it for the consumer with their cost curve when you can get a DC Multiverse McFarlane for a few more dollars at $20 with ~18POA 7in. or MOTU Origins at $18 with ~16POA 5.5in. instead of a Re-action with 5POA 3.75in.
