It gets really hot in the summer where I live and I really don’t want my figs to melt, I’m not worried about it at the moment but what do I do when it inevitably becomes an issue?

do you live on the sun or something?
It shouldn't be getting hot enough to melt plastic in your house. If it is, you have much more to worry about than your toys melting. In any case, you should keep your toys away from poorly insulated walls or windows. Ideally, toys should be kept in a room with a neutral temperature and little to no exposure to UV light.

Depends on how hot it is and humidity levels. I would argue that humidity is a bigger factor.

Heat will soften some plastics and make the joints give easier, yes. But, PVC has an upper heat limit of 140 degrees F. If your house gets that hot, you have way bigger problems to worry about.

I don't have ac in my room and it gets pretty hot over here. I had some figures fall over during summer. Just get a strong fan, it works fine for me.

Heat has literally never damaged my figures outside of some older Nendroids getting a little sticky due to the shitty paint they used. One actually bled onto itself since the sticky part was soft plastic that laid overtop of hard plastic.
