Now the difference is, you can mix and match the toys within Playmobil but Lego is a construction block based toy. Lego is more action and creativity, while Playmobil is more reallife (animals, farmers) and human interacting.
If you say they are similar, i will agree, if you say they are different, i will agree.
The business viewpoint would say they have the same target group, kids from 3-8 years old, possible to 13 years old. Before Lego Friends and Playmobil Agents i would say age and gender would be different in their target group.
