Honestly, the positioning of the limbs and how far the waist is turned makes it look more contorted than the flying-punch pose it's intending to emulate. Even imagining it as an actual pose, the way the hand is curled in while the arms are closely tucked gives the impression that he's about to throw a weak punch.
