>>9468176>The 3 issues I have with the line are sculpt, articulation and base loadout. Agreed 100% The sculpts are stylized and while some are okay, others look "off". I would have preferred accurate design sculpts.
>With the removal of most gimmicks articulation should be better on these things but Bandai seem to have settled on a repeated use frame which is often impeded by the armour. Articulation is okay on some and a disaster on a lot of em. The front skirt armor being attached via a peg into the upper leg articulation rather than a ball peg connected to the crotch piece prevents the legs moving up far enough to let the MS kneel, never mind have one leg up like it's moving up hill. Regarding the arm articulation, Char's Zaku's is probably the worst offender.
>As for basic loadout? There are some things I expect MS to come with as standard even here. I wouldn't expect the saber deployment gimmick in Wing's shield but to not have the saber itself? Exia and Freedom missing their shields? Nu having its budget gobbled up by the funnels? I'm not expecting effects parts or MSV weapons but the basic iconic loadout should be present for each figure. This is by far the biggest problem. I like my Nu, but it looks so sad without it's iconic Beam Rifle and Shield, it should have the bazooka too.
Gundam should have had the bazooka
Wing and Zero should have their Beam Sabers
EZ-8 should have the open backpack arms, the storage container, bazooka, beam rifle and the Hover Truck
Strike should have the Aile Pack
Any MS that has an "extra" part or accessory is going to be gutted for price, it a really bad decision on Bandai's part desu.
>And I think it says a lot that I can overlook the line's problems mostly because they scale well with things like Transformers.I still like them too, I don't know if I'll keep buying them though, depends on what MS they do and how well of course. I'd like to see more Universal Century, Wing and X,MS over G, Seed, Destiny or 00.
