FINALLY someone made a fully articulated 1/12th scale generic Santa. About fucking time. It's too bad the elves look like they're only 5poa, but still will be cool to have Santa.

Show me some other Christmas toys. Toys from Christmas movies or Christmas variants, or anything Christmas

I feel like it's hard to tell how it will articulate. The single elbow looks similar to the single elbows hasbros has been doing that gets a pretty good amount of range

but then I see what appears to be ankles that can hinge/swivel/pivot but then I don't see knee articulation so I wonder if it's just shitty choices going on here or that it's just a unfinished 3d render?

Apparently 6.5", so he should be fairly tall. Tall or short would fit Santa fairly well. And if you're thinking like, Terminator vs him, having Arnold look down and Santa looking up would look good.

I might get a nutcracker. I think it'd be a lot of fun to have a highly articulated nutcracker, but the nutcracker having not much articulation I guess makes sense. But I still want a highly poseable nutcracker I can have doing crazy poses.

You might be right actually, I just looked at some other renders from Arlen and he listed at the ankle "ankle rockers swivel hinge". I assume someone from their team will address this if someone asks.

It BAFFLES me how rare it is for us to get nice figures of Santa.

Like... he's public domain and possibly one of the most recognizable fictional characters of all time.

An easy reissue every holiday season and no one takes advantage of that? He would appeal to people even outside the figure collecting community too.

I get there's been 1 or 2 from indie toy makers, but where's my NECA Santa? Figuarts? Hasbro? C'mon. I can picture a great Norman Rockwell inspired NECA.

I think that the knee articulation is one of those creases on the leg since there are two that line up on both legs but it's hard to really tell with a render.
Too bad the page doesn't say how many POA it has but I'm going to assume it has knees

I'm thinking more a long the lines of a nutcracker that looks like an actual nutcracker, but with a crazy amount of articulation. Like how figma gives works of art articulation.

You'd think they'd be given how profitable the holidays are, but I guess manufacturers dont want to take the risk of making too much holiday product only for it not to sell. The ertl figures not only exist, but look terrific for what they are. It really was a shame the movie didnt take off because it really had promise. The toyline was great, the movie itself looked cool as fuck, etc. They even made one of the dinohattan cop cars in the toyline. If there was one thing the line was missing it was dinosaurs. That said if you're looking into customizing them, I'd say make use of the glut of GB figures on shelves currently. The only real setback will be the jump boots.

The green looks great on Optimus, even if it weren't Christmas themed. I really like the candy-cane gun too. I'd probably get him if it were an Optimus that transforms.

I dont disagree with you though since I've been a casual observer of the line the ones I've really like have been sold out for some time so I'm also using this Gomez as a gateway to actually start collecting the line proper so that coupon it comes with will be useful.
