>GARNER – A man who tried to buy two action figures at a Johnston County Walmart ended up in jail. On November 11th at 11:31am, Johnston County deputies responded to Walmart on Highway 42 West, Garner in the Cleveland community.
Deputies allege Jason Thomas Carey of Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro attempted to purchase a Teenage Mutant action figure, valued at $29.96, and a Gremlin Gizma figure, valued at $15.96, but switched the price tags on the items so they would ring up at a lesser amount at the checkout register.
