yeah the OP of that thread was an asshole but it still sucked some other asshole ruined it for everyone else, I would've wanted one for example even if I couldn't afford it at the time, now it just doesn't exist so even if I wanted to pay scalper prices

The thing was forced scarcity incarnate and limited to backers, either you back it before release or you pay big scalper bucks afterwards.

You should be glad you saved money, that shitty thing was not worth 130 bucks, much less aftermarket rape prices. There's plenty of better toys you could buy with that money.

You weren't going to get the prop either way, just a crappy copy made by some random dude. So it wasn't an actual prop nor a good toy. And it was overpriced, even more so because your only choice would have been paying scalper prices.

The one at retail now is just some shoddy reissue of the 90's tiger figure. Doesn't look the exact same as the movie one, which ruins the humor of it.

I know it wasn't a literal prop, I'm fine with a prop replica. The price was reasonable for a limited run kickstarter. There's no scalping because anyone could pay into the Kickstarter.

you should be thankful the toy is available in stores, you are lucky that u could buy the toy in stores.

the joke or meme from it still stands. anyone will immediately recognize it. is immediately recognizable. people aren't gonna nitpick if it is not an exact replica.

if the toy didn't exist in stores I would understand your anguish. but the toy exists. it is sold in store just like in the movie. if anything the toy from the store is closer to the movie in being available and buying it.

The retail version funko rereleased is so much better for $35. Considering it has legit articulation, 13.5” tall, lights up, talks, three different accessories, screen accurate packaging the price makes it a steal. the tiger versions were being flipped on eBay for $200+ a year ago and they’re identical to the funko.
