>>9476422 You know I've said it before but they really lucked out with the TMNT designs when it came to adapting them to costumes.. the humanoid bodies, big heads, smooth latex-able skin, all of that helped enough, but then the way the pads break up the limbs so they could all be separate parts without having to put a visible seam on skin, letting them replace the parts piecemeal as they got damaged.. the way the shells can hold a bunch of electronic equipment and battery packs so the heads can be lighter, even the way turtles already have a weird fucking wrinkly penis neck, so the border of the head piece looks totally natural. and on top of that they're supposed to be a little short, so they could use the typically asian martial arts stuntmen.

>>9476439 They truly were masterfully designed and crafted. We will never see the boys on the big screen like this again and it kills me inside. Here's hoping they do a set of Ooze turtles this year.

The technodrome is definitely a possibility anon, as they did castle greyskull. I’d buy it too.
Anonymous
>>9481781 >. That was my favorite big toy as a kid and it can work with just about anything! I'm not an 80's kid so I missed out on turtles until 2k3 outside of VHS tapes and TNM, but one of my father's coworkers gave him a big storage container full of toys their kid outgrew, including most of the technodrome(mostly missing some inside bits). So having no TMNT bad guys I just used it for my Beast Wars stuff.
Crimson Commander !!uoqqXVkn8aK
>>9481781 It probably will if the Party Wagon is successful enough; Brian's already qualified it that he's been looking into making one, saying with the caveat that people need to back a Party Wagon, before he can consider moving forward with something bigger like the Technodrome. It'll be crazy expensive tho; like doing Snake Mountain, but it has to move around on wheels and have play features. I'd expect realistically speaking paying $700 to $1,000 for something like that, with again a payment system, which is why they'd wont to wait to do one.
Anonymous
>>9481781 The technodrome would need to be so large just to scale as it used to with the villains now being so tall compared to the turtles. And it was already pretty comically undersized so I think they would try to expand it a little on top of that. I don’t really see it happening with how much people gripe about the prices on the van and tank; it’s far more complicated and would probably be triple the price.
Anonymous
>>9481753 Invest in 2 now, resell the second one for triple the price later and reap the -$900 price.
Crimson Commander !!uoqqXVkn8aK
Quoted By:
>>9481829 > And it was already pretty comically undersized so I think they would try to expand it a little on top of that. Any modern Technodrome would necessitate it being upsized even when scaled up to the Ultimates scale. People want their favorite toys improved, and that would require making bigger walk-ways on the interiors, and bigger jail cells and more play room on the inside to have your figures interacting with the overall playset. If Super7 didn't do this people would criticize them for being cheap and poor quality. And on that double edged sword, people will criticize them inevitably anyway for charging out the ass for it, if they do make one, and argue that they should have cheaped out just to lower the costs. People argued this when they did the Thundertank and did with the Party Wagon.
With the Thundertank, they complained and said that it didn't need to be a two seater and could have been just as small as the vintage one, because the vintage figures were already very large, and how it could have been hollow, and not scale, etc, etc, and therefore Super7 could have cut the price by hundreds of dollars, which is untrue. Instead they would have been putting out an awful version with a high price point that people would scoff at.

>>9492870 Is anybody else alarmed at the number of franchises super7 is taking on? They're basically asking us to put up our dollhairs on what is essentially "dont worry bros we're good for it." Im a bit unnerved desu, and would be wary of putting so much cash down on what is basically thin air. With the rising inflation, and uncertainties within the toy industry and all that. For those that know, chronicle collectibles stiffed a large number of people that prepaid for their Jurassic park statue shit months in advance. I was one of the suckers. They were a small company too. Imagine putting up half a grand on a van that may or may not happen in 2-3 years time. Anything could happen to super7 at that point and if Brian decides to flee as the company goes bankrupt we're fucked. Paypal wont save you either; I made my purchases through them and because the fiasco happened after the protection period ended (60 days) nobody did anything. Some people lost thousands of bucks on such a business model.
My point is that it seems shady putting down a lot of money on products that are still to be delivered, especially with such long time frames. Just saying.

>>9493013 This is why I preorder through BBTS/EE and not them. Let the stores risk that shit instead. At this point I don’t think they are at risk of going under though, that’s the whole point of their business model; the costs are so high because the license and production costs are baked into it. I do worry about the number of properties they have given they’ve never gotten anything out on time even pre-pandemic but they must be making enough money in preorders to expand like this.

Lotta play value, because there's a ramp in the back and has a lot of space inside. There's also the side doors, the working parabolic dish, with two driver compartments with seats for 4 figures.

>>9494975 your chemical dysfunctions aside, bebop and rocksteady did look legitimately cool. Someone worked hard on them. unlike shredder in the first movie
that krang design was okay too. and i even liked the vocal performance. kinda went the other way from usual.

if he pulled it through piece by piece, how does he have this intact collectables chamber? were the popsicles coming through one at a time?
I'm actually not too impressed with this technodrome, it's kinda... messy. and I can appeciate some elaborate mecha shit, liked those transformers movies.. this just looks like wobbly voxel stuff.

Turtle Blimp can apparently seat a Super7 figure.
Anonymous
>>9495496 isn't that scaled for the original figures?
Anonymous
>>9495469 yeah each chamber came in but really fast.
once it got built it was supposed to stop moving all over

>>9495517 I dunno man I think I'd leave my collectibles in dimension X rather than risk them thawing partially out while in the open air of a new dimension. but what do I know I'm not a giant brain voiced by brad garrett

>>9495594 A Super7 blimp would be both affordable and easy to store away when not displaying. I kinda want them to make one now.

but ace duck isn't that much taller than the turtles so I think they might have made him TOO small. then again the cartoon was not consistent.

Anonymous
>>9496622 >>9496624 huh, okay then! I guess it's really just Ace who seems tall, but then again the only shot we got of him in the cartoon was on a tv screen, right? considering all the human gear he uses, it makes sense for him to be human-sized.
