The best thing I will say about him is that his head looks way better than OG Blade and the only major issue he has now is that his eyes are still a bit small. For an older SHF the details on his suit is very well done and comparable to grandzi-o's details. Details on his blade look's great but the paint job is a bit wonky, but can be overlooked. Also, he's a bit shorter (about 0.2 cm) than OG Blade.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend you to get him unless you REALLY want him or you can get him for cheaper than >90 USD (not including shipping).

Mileage will vary depending on how yours survived the trip. Basically, it’s not durable enough to come in perfect but also won’t come out looking like a mess like Tiga. My SS Tiga is an absolute bullshit, looks like a fucking bootleg with paint already flaking off its belly and chest. Bandai needs to fire whoever proposed and approved this material change.

Like, some Megazords have really great gimmicks and designs, but they're pretty much all just 80s level bricks. Gimme some articulation and Brave-style proportions, while maintaining the gimmicks, and it's golden for me.
I can live without the diecast and it doesn't have to be super show accurate if the trade off is that they look more like super robots and less like suit actor in a cardboard costume.

>>9499514 I wouldn't mind eventually seeing a Flash King. It's such a classic super robot looking design. It's one of those designs where adding articulation shouldn't have been an easy thing. Battle Fever Robo is just so gosh darn toyetic. A CHUG of it would easily put it on par with Goshogun. I really like the Dairugger look that older Super Sentai mecha have.
So mechs like the Galaxy Megazord, Delta Squad Megazord, Jungle Pride Megazord and Dino Charge Megazord should translate well into a CHUG style. I mean, some are pretty much just Transformers combiners.

Which still made no sense to me because practically every other toy company knows how to have unbreaking paints on a softer plastic...or soft PVC that doesn't tear right away. Why is this such a problem for Bandai??
Anonymous
>>9501119 that specific material just doesn’t last long in various conditions and considering these are items you ship from a different country, even if we’re just saying from china to japan… it’s a dumb choice. Even without the paint having trouble staying on it, it’s bound to crack and tear soon like it did with Black.
The DUMBEST shit is how they didn’t have to go this route. NO ONE was asking for this in SHFSS, it’s not a toy line where people complain about joint cuts. Everyone buy its for both sculpt and articulation.
Anonymous
>>9501131 Sure. But what I'm saying is there are plenty of action figures already that has soft bits wit paint with none of that level of trouble. Sometimes sure like the Revoltech Stormtrooper's crotch paint cracking. But most of the time, Japanese or American toys, they're fine.
Or maybe I'm unaware of this particular material. Like I said I didn't take him out yet...it's still just softer PVC right? I'm wondering if these problems were unexpected for the SS team too seeing how it's not a problem with other toys.
