Looks like NY finally collapsed and are no longer pretending to be in operation. They've blocked access to their website and will run away with everyone's money.

I myself lost $250 in pre-orders last year and have been warning people about them. I hope no-one here has any open orders.

I ordered a couple of SH Figuarts DBZ figures from them back in like 2018-2019ish. All pre ordered items. Great Sayiaman, Mr. satan and the first Bulma. All arrived as expected. In fact two of them ended up showing up a week before they were originally solicited to release. So while I never had issues with them, it was a number of years ago at this point. I've heard horror stories about them ripping people off. I'm glad those were the only toys I ordered from them. Dodged a bullet evidently.

Had two orders never ship due to COVID, emailed them twice asking for updates, a third time to see if I could pay more to have the items come through DHL, and finally two more times asking for a refund. Got one reply to my first email and never heard from them again. I'm out $160 but it's at least nice to know they can't fuck people over anymore.

Haven't had any reason to check their site since I placed the preorder and only visited just now to see if they were really down. I panicked when I realized I was a week over my credit card's normal dispute deadline, so I couldn't open a dispute online.

Just called customer service and they successfully opened a dispute for me since I was so close to the deadline. Thanks again, if I had waited til January I may not have been so lucky.

Most of the staff from Nippon-Yasan pretty much up and left and started a new website, yoyakunow. I tried it on a lark with the final Zenkaiger DX mech and they came through pretty quickly and efficiently. I'd recommend it.

Yeah it alright when the first opened, they actually had the best prices out of all the japanese retailers for a short stint.

Then they starting scamming on shipping, if you actually looked at the price of shipping on the package it was way less than what they actually charged you. So they were pocketing the difference.

Then they just straight up starting asking you to pay more on orders you already paid in full.

Now they are dead, good riddance.
