>>9562739>why not use boolean tool on zbrush? On what exactly? The doll itself is made in Blender (because I'm poor) using mainly boolean operations. These joints in particular I made in OpenSCAD because I find it eraser to edit, the variables at the top let me export joints with specific dimensions instantly.
>what scale are you making? 1/9, around 20cm tall, the smallest hinge-ball-joint is 7mm in diameter, ball-joints all get around 1cm, but I've printed test 3mm joints and they have worked well.
what materials are you using? maybe it's warping?
Anycubic's resin, from the start I knew that it was not for figures but I wanted to test the geometry. I do not think it is warping, I think it is friction, it is common in resin prints. Resione's M58 is supposed to be erotion-resistant, I've seen it used in functional parts such as hinges and ball-joints.
>If I had the skills I would repurpose Revoltech jointsI would take the dimensions, model a solid and simplified model and use it for boolean operations. It is not very practical for me to order much online, which is why I am making my own joints.
>>9562268I use an SLA Printer, but M85 is abs-like, and the base is quite beefy compared to
>>9520395 There are some rubber-like resins, I will also order 39T for the hair and clothing that needs to be flexible, but it is too flexible for a ball joint. It M58 is too tough for the hinges then I will order a harder rubber-like resin to use exclusively on joints
