The Action Force figures from Bobby Vala have apparently shipped and they're evidently riddled with QC issues. People on Hisstank are saying it has worse paint and plastic issues than neca: Parts snapping and the need of a hairdryer to make it so you can move the figures without breaking them.

The only real problem with Firefly is that his bomb vest hinders his chest movement, but you could easily take it off and that "problem" no longer exists. There's nothing that can be done to get Havoc to actually hold his derp gun in any convincing manner.
I own a lot of the Fortnite figures from all three companies, Havoc is on the lower end in terms of quality as other figures from all three companies are much better. So I'm not trying to insult the Fortnite lines as a whole, But Classified Firefly is leagues better, as a toy and especially as a representation of Firefly, then Havoc ever will be.

Comparing it to the vintage lines in Marvel Legends, it just served as an Avenue to release other figures, sometimes old costumes, sometimes new ones. The Spider Armor was in the classic cartoon, and it’s released on the retro card back. But it’s the version of the suit that’s from the PS4 video game.
Point being that this retro line will likely feature some old costume designs, but it could also easily be the new designs on retro cards, repainted. And not even necessarily repainted to be the classic designs.

>>9527184 The made to order business model is the best situation for any toyline worth collecting to be honest. It guarantees that you get the figures you want and in the number you want. If more people collect, more are produced and Super7 re-issues in demand figures. It's just a matter of being patient and if you're willing to pay a higher premium price.
The instant gratification of buying a toy and having it just on shelves and ready, is nice, particularly at $20 a pop, but the work to find a figure can sometimes be too much. I had more or less bailed on Classified in favor of getting in on Super7's Joes. I haven't bought a single one and have no plans in the future outside of maybe 1 or 2 figures that look passable. People have been complaining about them for forever, and in DC General you'll always see shitposting about how much people hate Todd's DC figures. Scott Nietlich's also been complaining about them for awhile too, albeit he may be biased since he worked on DC Classics, but he has a valid opinion, which is similar to the same gripes I see in DC General, being that Todd's a hindrance to his own toylines, by doing shit like making the figures scale with nothing, which is only done to force people to buy all of your figures again. That's a number 1 reason I hear people say they don't like Todd's DC line, with the others being that it seems to be all Batman and all recent comic stuff that nobody likes. I honestly from a toy collector point of view, I hate Todd so much it's unbelievable, with the rigid way he handles toys and tries to force his ideas on collectors, such as that Spawn figure with the pre-posed torso, since Todd hates articulation, and that's why he did statue shit for years. Or how he refused to license out Spawn to other toy companies to make products that he himself would never make, simply because he says he COULD make something and doesn't want another company BTFO him. He basically said that in an interview where he spergs out.

Funpub for example wouldn't even let you just order the figures you wanted, you had to commit to a full run of figures(presumably because they needed a certain number of orders to even make all the figures in the first place). They received a lot of fan backlash over it, unfairly in my opinion, simply because fans didn't understand the business model or limitations on what they're buying into. You always ran into people complaining about how it cost like $35 per Joe and how retail Joes were like $7 to $10.
>>9529157 I think some people just have an aversion to the made to order business model, or are inpatient. I'd also say there's people who just can't stand waiting for a pre-order, even if it's more convenient by letting you get the figures without worrying about trying to locate some at brick and mortar and in quantities you'd want without any hassle. What Super7's doing with a direct to consumer business is just the way industry is moving, and even Hasbro themselves have picked up on this with Hasbro Pulse offering direct to consumer items, such as army builder sets for Star Wars TVC, and even replenishing them when they sell out, and doing Haslabs. Mattel is also getting in on it with Mattel Creations.
I just treat it as paying for convenience, which it is.
>McFarlane DC is such a train wreck. Pic related. I can't stand Todd's handling of DC, and wish the license would get yanked and go back to either Mattel or get scooped up by Hasbro. New Classified box art
>>9534473 Todd has weird dictates and demanded for years that his toys be statue shit, because he hated articulation, because he said it broke up the sculpts, and he said collectors didn't want articulation, because he didn't want it. Even when he did that crowd funded Spawn he demanded the figure have a pre-posed torso and told fans that he wasn't making the figure for them, that he was making it for himself, and told them he wasn't going to make a neutral torso to please them. Now he does pre-posed eyes. I dunno if this is part if his belief that it's still the 90's and the same trends are still relevant? Maybe he thinks he can sell the same figure with 5 different variants with all of them having different heads?

Just got the action force weapon set from dorkside, I thought the rifles were gonna scale too large for Joe's judging from previous pictures and reviews I'd seen where they didn't even bother to try and have them shoulder the weapon but they actually fit right in. They also put a bunch of extra magazines in the bag so it's not a huge concern to lose one.

I'd go to marauder for their SAW, sniper rifle and ump and that's about it, action force seem like the place to go to get just about everything else weapon wise if you can't afford or don't wanna drop the serious amount of money little armory weapons cost.

Some guys have been buying up the entire case of Classified figures at Target.

>>9548662 >>9548745 They got leaked a month or two ago. To my knowledge, they’re not exclusives anywhere, they’re just separately packed. Still part of the same wave though IIRC, with Crimson Guard coming later.

post your hauls in this thread and the next, I know many of us are getting our orange vipers and tin can troopers so let's share the two figures that have been on a lot of people's wish lists for this line.

>>9549259 So why can a 1/18th figure from over a decade ago have silver arms with a black wash, but a 1/12 figure nowadays that costs over twice as much not? Not to mention the transparent chest plate missing, which was an iconic aspect of the design
Anonymous
>>9549476 sorry for you luck anon but I was under the impression most here were getting these online as noted earlier where some have gotten shipping confirmations. As much as I love to see these guys hanging on pegs, I don't think we will see a chance of it until the summer at the earliest. That said that's your silver lining is much like the Cobra Infantry, I'm sure these guys are going to be in a lot of cases and reprints this year.

>>9549528 1. Smaller figure = smaller amount of paint needed, consider all the paint on the arms might make account for all the paint on the Classifieds head(visor, vents, back head panels).
2. Over a decade ago the middle class in these countries that make the toys either didn't exist or were just starting to grow. In those times all you had to pay was the supplies as the labor was basically free, as time moved on the labor costs more and it reflects with the figure cost and quality as companies desperately try to find short cuts to deal with these issues.
3. Inflation, consider that over a decade ago 6inch Marvel Legends in 2012 were still under $15.00

>>9549535 >>9549640 >>9549654 If you order online it’s at least a waiting game and nothing else. I don’t think you all appreciate the hell we are no longer in which was the 2010s where you would be waiting months if not a year after stores got them in for even a shot online. It’s sucks to wait but at least I know come July I’ll have these guys as opposed to wasting gas and energy in blind hopes I can outpace scalper shits and those people that army build too much
Anonymous
>>9549640 Listen there are bright sides to getting them late. My AV here has one derp of a misaligned paint/print and I wager that has more of being an early batch than something we will keep seeing. I bet when you get yours they will be near perfect.

>>9550174 He’s saying Ultron is painted (he’s fully painted silver even if that picture doesn’t make it obvious) and because of that, BAT could’ve used more paint on his arms.
Except Ultron is part of a wave of 7, and stuff in that wave that was 99% reuse like Stealth Iron Man or Guardsman, and they budget stuff by wave. Whereas the BAT is part of a case of 8, with 1 Gung Ho as the only reuse and 3 BATs per case. The cost of painting the arms would add up quickly on top of all the other paint apps.
