More reasonable option is that they will move this toyline for next year, there's no point in movie line without the movie.
Leakers have no idea what's happening so it's safe to think line isn't produced yet.
We know toys for this year, maybe few more exclusives will show up and that's all.

I agree with that partially. Some toys were better, plastic was more dense, designs were wilder and we got new ideas, QC wasn't shit. Yet now we have better accuracy, toys can pose better, lines are no longer competing with each other like in old days (not everywhere).

I think I still prefer Scorponok due to the character and colors, but Black Zarak definitely has a better head and I like him as a powered up Scorp.

I'd actually missed out on Scorponok so I preordered Zarak, and then out of nowhere I managed to get Scorponok, I don't mind having both though since it's probably my favorite city bot.

Riddle me this, transformers fans.. if they made a redo of the old optimus bat and megatron croc, would you want them to be core/deluxe to preserve the original size, but still with modern articulation and proportion tweaking
or should they be bigger and even more detailed, befitting their status as the leaders, comparable to their other bodies give or take (maybe megs a bit smaller) ?
and would you want them to be the same characters, using that weird multiverse thing they're up to these days? or make up original characters who still fit in with the story kinda? (with like, homages to Batman and.. I guess some kinda army tank personality guy)

Yeah, the old Generations is closer than the new Core, but the kibble makes him look bigger, I guess a small deluxe like Cliff would be the best option, as long as they include the same accessories as Gen Rattrap.

ransformers Hunt for the Decepticons Sidearm Sideswipe

I'd make a comment about how red he is when movie Sideswipe mostly has blue accents but the only other movie Sideswipe I have is "Strike Mission" Sideswipe whose windshield is also red.

Other than the windows being red Sideswipe is also sporting a big red decal on his front end.
People say it looks like the Star Wars Rebels insignia, but I say it's not quite right.
I feel I should also mention that this car is 100% covered in silver paint. There's no bare plastic showing. Save for the tires but in this case I'd probably go with the black rims irl too.

As A car he's alright, the Corvette is gorgeous of course, but the wheels can be a bit stick and he's super panel liney, bordering on ruining the whole thing for me since they don't line up super well.

I still really really don't like how his head flips out. Just look at the paint scuffing.
Other than that I do like the transformation a lot. Not often the back bumper is made to fit over the front windshield.

Like most movie bots HasTak did a lot of learning between the first toy and the second on how to translate the character design to plastic.
Like giving Sideswipe real feet he can stand on. Even if it does mean clinging to other design cues like the weird hip tendons.

Other than that I just want to say the Sideswipe's bits are more fussy than they should be. The panels on the inside of the arm don't peg in and the car junk on his back are just on ball joint on long stalks that don't peg in anywhere either. They get knocked out of position super easy and need to be readjusted constantly.

Sideswipe hasn't got much going on for posability.

Up top is alright. Ball shoulders, biceps, elbows. Standard stuff. His shoulders and butterfly forward a bit so that a treat.

Bottom half is a much different much more frigid story.
No waist, Sideswipe's midsection is made of three different layers of plastic coming together at different angles. it jut wasn't going to work.
His Ball hips and thigh swivels are heavily restricted by the rubber hose things.
And his knees just don't exist.
The way the movement in the legs work is they're either straight for transforming and fitting under a car or they're digitigraded for being a robot. There's zero freedom of movement.

I like arthropods, aquatics, tanks, jets, cute girls, and interesting technical detailing, so probably a godawful mixture of Beast Machines and things along the lines of Busou Shinki or Frame Arm Girls. Following the way the recent Arcee was, it would probably have some gimmick where the robot mode has lots of bulky parts normally, but they can be detached as weapons or whatever, revealing the "skeleton" inside. It ended up being nothing like Transformers somehow.

RTS/Bumblebee movie style reimaginings of characters with lots of mechanical detailing. Everybody comes with a lot of weapons on sprues that you punch out like old G.I. Joe sprues, and they come packed with a random other sprue so you can get lots of extra weapons.

Everybody comes with 5mm ports on their wrists like Studio Series Blitzwing or Iron Factory figures do, so you can swap out hands in different poses or mount weapons on them.

No you could just repaint the Kingdom one into Rhino, no need for a total redo. Airrazor would need to be heavily retooled into Manta Ray but considering you'd primatily be replacing the outer shell and the legs of the original just hung off the back anyway I think it'd be doable.

Of course that's a lot of work for a niche retool but if I had my way that's what I'd do.

Stormbringer Thunderwing. My idea for Pretenders was that they'd integrate the shell's features into the Robot modes and have additional armor accessories, so you'd have something like Leader Shockwave - a jet that turns into a robot with addon armor pods for the armored mode. Alongside the Voyager Bludgeon and Titan Monstructor that's the three big Decepticon threats from that comic, and with the Deluxe Pretenders that means Pretenders would be represented in all size classes.

I went in with the initial idea of Beast Wars Toy characters, Decepticon Pretenders, and non-core Autobot Wreckers, with some fill-in from other lines (like G1 Megs and Horri-Bull/Nightbeat Headmasters.)

If I had another Leader slot I'd want a new Broadsides.

Beast Wars also wasn't an adaptation of a previously established series. It made sense to have all new characters, because it was an all new story line. Unlike the current comics, which are an adaptation of an established series, with characters that are already beloved. I always wanted to see Beast Wars characters in G1 animal aesthetics yo match G1 lines and characters but that was before we got Kingdom Kingdom h I never expected.

Stuff like Bat Convoy as Mindwipe, Megatron Alligator as Skullcruncher that we got way back. So Waspinator, Tarantulas, Blackarachnia, with Insecticon aesthetics. Scorpinok and Quickstrike and g1 Scorpinok repaints and remolds. Rhinox, Airrazor Tigatron/ Leo Convoy as Predacon component repaints. Megatron, Terrorsaur, Dinobot in Dinobot aesthetics etc.

G1 Beast Machine characters would be cool too.

Also Animated Sari somehow.

Well, the Cybertronian citizens is a simple template capable of being retooled in a bunch of shit, and it'd look like one of the generic Cybertronians from Beast Wars. Basically if theirs a figure for a generic, it's retooled from this. The Cybertronian Empire Soldier would look like one of the guys in top picrel. Unicron Cultist would like on of those guys in bottom picrel, and would probably be a Cybertronian Citizen retool. Xaaron would be a Cybertronian Citizen retool.

I watched the whole WFC trilogy. All I can say is that it barely tries to be consistent to itself and ends up being this horrible mess that goes beyond what you'd expect. A ton of plot points go nowhere or make no sense in context of what's going on. For example, the whole Quintesson thing and Scorponok's deal are never elaborated upon, so it feels like a huge waste of time.

All these look pretty gud. If only the retard taking the photos didn't obscure Night Prowler's face. I'll probably get Guard. I might get Silverstreak. I already have Netflix Cheetor and Shadow Panther, and Nightprowler doesn't do too much to make me want to get a 3rd version of the KD Cheetor mold, and I'm just not a huge fan of Buzzsaw. I know it makes him different from Waspinator and it's accurate to the JP card art, but I just don't like Buzzsaw's head.

Is this one of those things where the pic was covered in the n-word so some of the details are blurred out by trying to photoshop the words out, kinda like what happened with the early photos of Road Ranger, Puffer, and Black Guard? Or is it just a crappy pic?

Okay, personally I like KD Waspinator way more than the T30 version, but that makes sense. Buzzsaw does have nice colors. It would be neat to see a different head that's not just waspinator. I like the purple helmet and black visor, so maybe give a face plate(preferably like Razorbeast's or Torca's), and put the ocelli on the helmet.

There is a big reason they are hiding the head. Hasbro stated back at SDCC 2014 that Night Prowler was one they really wanted to do something more original with the head. At worse it'll be a pretty deco of the mutant head. At best it's going to be a whole new tooling

I wish, but I doubt it. They always have two heads planned, and both were already revealed, if they introduce a third one they would have to make a new mold that would probably include some new accessory

Now, there's exceptions to this. The ER Cliffjumper mold being the biggest, having a total of FOUR alternate heads, but no other changes to the mold.

Netflix Bee is a retool, for those they normally have their own set of heads. A good example is CW Ironhide/Offroad, when it got retooled into Trailbreaker the heads were now Trailbreakers and Hoists, which were included in the new mold.

Either Cliffjumper has four heads already included, they have separate mold for new heads (which they've done before, but it's expensive just for one new part), or the craziest and I have no idea if they've done this, they're actually producing the entire set of of parts (both Cliffjumpers and Netflix Bee) in one production line and picking the heads from both sets, then recycling the Beetle parts.

Neither did I, these two miniature repaints were all I had of that design. Hell I'd settle for a KO in the right colors, just to round out the mini-coneheads. I don't think the design looks all that good when it's jumbo-sized, but at pocket-scale they're pretty cool chunky cybertronian airforce dudes.
