>>9579909>>9579911>Legends should be $40 at mostI'd argue it's actually harder to design and engineer figures at that scale compared to CHUG or MP. QC too is an even bigger bitch, because you have way less margin of error on tolerance control. The only saving grace on Legends is that their number of parts may be slightly less than bigger scales, but by not a significant amount. Let's take MS Devastator for example, it has more complex engineering than any other Devastator in existence and yet I don't think I've heard of anyone experiencing QC issues anywhere, not even in the Chinese and SEA communities who are known for their tendency to constantly bitch about even the most mundane things. They do bitch about some design decisions on it but they do that for everything from every brand.
So I think it's safe to say that the current rape prices are not only caused by retards (like me) who keep buying them at those prices, which seem to the be main point you were trying to make, but also because the designers and perhaps factory want a bigger cut due to the aforementioned complexities. The difference in cost of materials between scales is not
that significant, because it's the plastic injection molds that are the most expensive and contribute a lot to production cost, not the actual amount of diecast metal, the nylon or plastic involved. On Legends the post-production process, including things such as QC and assembly, requires a lot more precision.
