How do you find sold out legos?

I'm new at lego. Right now I'm searching for this 71395 (Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block) set, but it's currently sold out at lego.com and a bunch of EU retailers.

How do you buy sold-out sets? Do you try to hunt it at ebay.com or google out some unknown retailers? Or just wait till lego.com produces more?

If you have a Lego store anywhere near you then that's the usual option. Outside of that you basically just have to be notified of in stock on the website or check various other places that sell at retail such as Amazon. You can buy from foreign Amazons as well if they have the stock. That specific set you want though is always in stock at Target retailers in the US. You might have some luck buying from someone on here?

yeah, this particular set was available on their website around mid-Jan but I missed it.

I really want to avoid buying outside the EU for now since the shipping+import would be about 50% of the set cost.

I will try to dig through NL/DE/FR/etc amazons, thanks.

In post soviet countries we have a website called Avito. Anyone can sell anything (legal) there. And there are a lot of lego as well.
