You know, for a supposed 'queen' of something, anything really, there is surprisingly low amount of fucks given about her by both her creators AND her fanbase.
Pixiv art is also few and far between, especially SFW.
Sad really, I very much like classic Dorochan.

I live Drossel. She was my very first Figma those many years ago. It’s too bad the series wasn’t more popular. I would love to get figures of her other versions.

I remember when the show first came out. They had a statue they’d put up at conventions and events. I would’ve bought one of those if it were for sale.

For one it's 2006 figure. You don't expect it to be of modern or at least 2010s quality, do you?
For two OG Drossels is one of the most bootlegged figmas out there, losing only to mikus and SAO stuff. So you might as well get one if you don't know how to tell them apart.

So yeah even legit Drossels are fragile to begin with, and being 15 years old didn't make them any sturdier. I myself had to buy TWO copies, to assemble one good Drossel for my own.

Second figma was expensive out of the gate. Of course aftermarket tax is huge too.
I think og can still be bought relatively cheap, but they can fall apart in your hands.

This photo fails to convey how absolutely shitty the bootleg looks and feels in real life. It doesn't shine, it looks cheap and janky, and the joints crumble like matchsticks.

It's not like the original has stellar joints, the one I had got a stuck/broken elbow joint out of the box, and I've heard people having the same issues.
took fucking forever to find a replacement, they released official joint packs but they all went out of stock in seconds, and the third party joints were even worse.

Figma was notorious for broken pegs and joints. The original proto-figma (a Battle Angel Alita / Gally figure) is even worse. So yeah, they pretty much did invent durability much later on.
It's not like Revoltechs which are basically indestructible (and have ample supply of replacement joints should you actually manage to destroy them).

The first Chogokin Drossel has different proportions on the figure, iirc it is closer to the show while the figma one has a thinner/curvier central body. This makes the figma look more photogenic. The face is slightly different too, and the eyes don't look as good because they have a light-up gimmick.

Figma joints are real easy to get now, you can buy those random packs on eBay. And luckily, Drossel's joints are black, so any color can be dyed black.

oh yeah. I got a bootleg. That was before I was super catious about them and checked sellers better.
One of the ear pegs snapped out of the box and I had to use a paper clip to fix it. Think it was white / clear. Sadly I had left it in the box for a while, so no returning it.

If that helps you any, Anon, I got too excited about finally getting the first one in my late teens and hamhanded her hair and arms. She's still an alright display piece, but I get angry at myself everytime I remember one of her hand slots has a bit of a broken arm pin inside.
