This ip is such a shit show. The tolkien estate has a shit fit with everything from the movies all the way to merchandising like toys and games. The guy who owns the rights to the ip but not the ip itself is selling it because it’s a sinking boat. The people in the Tolkien estate don’t like anything being done with it and are a thorn in everything. I don’t foresee any good toys or beyond that because they’ll cry like a bitch and have the courts after the person making products of their ip.

The reason we don’t have games or good figures like the LEGO toys is because of the estate (ip holder), not because of the rights holder (Saul) or because of the licensee (product developers).
